Summer Shapewear? No Sweat!

It's an ironic and cruel truth that in summer, the time we need shapewear most, it's too hot to even consider wearing it!

At least until now.

Ladies, I'm here to give you some of the coolest warm weather ways to keep that muffin top inside the oven.

First, witness Spanx Skinny Britches (BlissWorld.com, $42). These feather-weight shorts are so sheer, the manufacturers promise you'll feel like you're going commando! Also, they can be layered. One slims, two shape, three totally transform. (THREE Spanx at once?! Um. No.)

And I've got plenty more options to help keep you looking slim this summer …

Yummie Tummie

One of my favorite ways to reduce layers in the summer is to wear shapewear that doubles as clothing. I have this Yummie Tummie Hip-Length Shapewear Tank (Dillards, $62) and wear it all the time, just like I used to wear normal black camis in the summer.

Shapewear Slip

I love the idea of this Flexee Chemise, Weightless Power (Macy's, $36) to wear under summer dresses. I also love the price!

Assets

These Assets by Sara Blakely "Fantastic Firmers" (Dillards, $26) will let you still show some serious leg this summer. The high leg works even under shorts.

Shapewear

This Miracle Shapewear Extra Firm Control Body Briefer (Figleaves.com, $52.80) would go under just about any summer outfit.

Bare Cooling Tights

Finally, I'm a little obsessed with these Bare Cooling Slip Resist 7 Dernier Tights (MarksandSpencer.com, £4), which aren't available in the United States. Why am I even telling you about them, you ask? Well, according to the manufacturer, not only are they totally sheer, but also "they're uniquely designed to release cooling bubbles as you move, leaving you feeling fresh all day."

Cooling bubbles? For realz? I'm dying to try them! Bring them stateside, please!

How do you feel about shapewear in the summer?
