20 Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes That Won’t Take All Day

We love Mother's Day around here. Moms are generally the unsung heroes, and while we deserve attention for our overall awesomeness on more than just this one day a year, we totally believe that Mother's Day is a great idea overall. It's nice to set aside some real time to show each other how much we love one another (and to receive a little much-deserved attention ourselves). That's why we're big into Mother's Day. But while we love this holiday absolutely, that doesn't mean we suddenly have a million jillion hours to devote to it. If there aren't enough hours in the day to plan something extraordinary, consider just picking up a special Mother's Day card to let mom know how your feel and create a simple brunch using one of these ridiculously easy recipes.

We picked recipes that can be made the night before, recipes that take just five minutes of prep, and a lot of recipes that are that awesome semi-homemade thing where we just pick up a little frozen dough and pretend like we did everything ourselves, because honestly, who in their right mind makes puff pastry other than actual pastry chefs? The frozen stuff is just as good, no lie. To go with brunch, consider picking up one a super-hip Mother's Day gift if the mom who is being celebrated is in the under-35 crowd, or consider a different type of gift for moms with kids under 5. Relatedly, consider picking up a gift to make a working mom's life easier. Whatever happens, celebrating the great moms out there should be the focus.
