A redditor snapped a photo of this kind gesture a church made on Mother's Day 2019 with a stack of blank cards for men to take for the maternal women in their lives they may have forgotten to get one for.
Other redditors praised the brilliant idea, saying they appreciated the thought because forgetting "happens" and this could be an easy way to prevent a rather hurtful situation.
However a few commentators lashed out, saying that the fact that this gesture was "needed" at all was a "disgrace."
