Absolutely Perfect Summer Picnic Accessories Under $35

When it comes to picnics, we're firm believers that they should happen all the time. We know that it's not always possible because of dumb stuff like "weather" and "schedules," but in a perfect world, everyone would be at a picnic with friends and family at least once or twice a week, right?

We love being inspired by other people's photos of picnics — not that we're necessarily going to do all the cute crafts that seem to be everywhere online, but we definitely enjoy looking at those pretty picnic pictures, anyway. Normally, we're more into picnics that are easy and taste good than look cute, but there's nothing wrong with doing a little extra for the 'gram, right?

And for all those tasty picnic treats, look to classic summer picnic recipes for delicious picnic foods that grandma would heartily approve of. And stay cool and breezy on that picnic in a linen dresses that will still look put-together and on trend.

We think picnics are the perfect event because they're so low key and relaxed, nobody feels the need to get all dolled up for them, so the barrier for entry is low, especially for new moms who are in no way prepared to get it all together to go to otherwise intimidating social events on an hour of broken sleep. It's also easy to set them up as potlucks — and it's frankly even expected –because that's just the nature of picnics.

The food that's made for them is typically inexpensive, and all the gear doesn't cost too much, either — these items are under $35!

Power Mist Aloe Vera

img-of-media-slide-296505.png
Touchland

Kids (and parents') hands get awfully sticky on a picnic, so bring something to keep the grossness at bay. Baby wipes work, but so does this excellent hand sanitizer that doesn't feel weirdly sticky itself (the way so many sanitizers leave hands feeling). Totally dry and clean, it kills 99.99% of germs, and is also moisturizing.

Power Mist Aloe Vera ($12, Touchland)
