We've seen so many tips for remedying dry skin in the winter. But don't let the warmer weather fool ya' — summer and all that comes with it can also be harsh on the skin. People are likely to spend lots of time outside or in the sun and it can take a toll. Skin can dry out, and then there's this thing called sunburn. Oh, and sweat, and a lot of it. Sweat makes it harder to keep up with a normal skin routine because it makes it easier for dirt to get into pores. It's also just not a good look if the goal is to look hydrated and refreshed. Thankfully, there are plenty of products on the market, many of them natural, that can keep up with summer skin care. And it's good anyway to cater a skin care routine to skin based on the season.
For example, a light cream may work better in the summer, but should include a higher SPF. Now, everyone has different skin-types: from shiny skin to dry, there are options for everyone. But no matter what, there are commandments (that we came up with) to keep things cool and healthy. And they are this: keep hydrated, cleanse, exfoliate, and don't forget sunscreen. At minimum, the face should be cleansed regularly to keep dirt from clogging pores. Moisturizers keep the skin hydrated and other creams help tone down redness. For a fresh look, a quick face mist spray can take care of that parched look. And of course, sunscreen is important for the skin's long-term health. It's a lot easier to take care of skin, and have it looking healthy, when it's protected from the sun's damaging UV rays. Whatever the skin needs, whether it's part of a summer skin routine or all of it, there are products to help get started. Achieve a healthy, clean, and non-sweaty glow faster than one can say "let's go to the beach!"
