A creative Halloween pumpkin is going massively viral on social media this week — but not for being spooky. Instead, the hilarious no-carve jack-o'-lantern was designed to portray something a lot of moms can relate to: having to pump while your "pumpkids" are waiting to be fed. The seasonal decor certainly nails the pain of being a breastfeeding mom.
The photo was posted on Breastfeeding Mama Talk on October 21, where it quickly garnered a ton of reactions.
Over 5,000 people liked the sweet photo, and almost 2,000 people shared it from the popular Facebook page.
In it, an exhausted mama pumpkin appears in a scene that's all too familiar: She's dressed in a bathrobe, with hair wrapped in a towel turban, and she's desperately trying to pump as two crying baby-kins erupt into wails beside her.
Naturally, every breastfeeding mom who has ever pumped can realte.
Judging by the photo, Mom is about halfway through her pumping session (as evidenced by her not-yet-full bottles of pumpkin seeds, of course). And she is SERIOUSLY over it.
As the photo made the rounds on Facebook, hundreds of moms went nuts for the creative display.
Not only were moms applauding her effort and output as she pumped next to her twins, but many mamas couldn't get over her expression. "Omg," one woman wrote in the comments. "I love this."
"I never thought I'd feel so relatable to a pumpkin," another woman added.
"This is exactly how I felt," a third mama wrote.
What can we say? Sometimes art really does imitate life. And this is the pumpkin we need on our doorstep because it captures the scary truth: Being a breastfeeding mom isn't easy.
