8 Ways To Celebrate Halloween Without Leaving the House

Halloween might look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean we have to give up on the spooky season completely. If families have decided to stay in instead of trick-or-treating this year — we know I’m excited to stay in and watch a Halloweentown marathon on Disney+ — there are still plenty of ways to go all-in on the holiday. They can still dress up in a family costume they’ve been planning since July, and they can plan a stay-at-home Halloween celebration that little ones are going to brag about the next day at (virtual) school. Take a look at this list of supplies that are guaranteed to get the celebration started.

Pizza and celebrations — has there ever been a more perfect pair? It’s not really possible to have one without the other, but figuring out which toppings are going to make everyone happy can be hard, to say the least. Luckily, Target has got this covered, even if everybody wants something different. Their Good & Gather line has a number varieties, including Margherita ($7.39, Target), Spinach and Goat Cheese, and Prosciutto and Arugula.

When the weather starts to change, the only thing we can think about is apple cider. Hot cider, cold cider — it doesn’t matter to us. As long as we can drink a cup of cider watching the leaves outside as they change color, we’re one happy camper. Pick up a couple of bottles of this Honeycrisp Apple Cider for inside celebrations this Halloween — there will be no regrets ($2.99, Target).

Caramel Apple Caramel Corn

We know that Halloween is a candy holiday and would never deny anyone the right to chow down on M&Ms or Gummi bears if that’s their tradition. But those who want a taste of fall without biting into a candy bar can enjoy this delicious Caramel Apple Caramel Corn ($3.69, Target).

Celebration Gear

Those who are going to have a celebration — and our definition includes Mom, Dad, the kids, and a pooch — obviously are going to need some supplies. Again, Target has this covered. Go all out with these adorable napkins in both trick-or-treat print ($3.00, Target) or pumpkins ($3.00, Target), serving platter ($3.00, Target), adorable ghost plates ($3.00, Target), spider ($3.00, Target), or pumpkins plates ($3.00, Target) and matching pumpkin cups ($3.00, Target).

What would a Halloween celebration be without decorating the house? Anyone who is observing this holiday needs to have decorations to do it right. And this batty felt Halloween banner is absolutely a must. ($10.00, Target)

Super Spooky Door Wreaths

Another crucial part of Halloween decorating is front door decor. Sure, families might not be taking part in Trick-or-Treating this year, but they still want to let their neighbors know that they know ghouls from goblins. A holiday wreath like this Skeleton Yarn Wreath ($20.00, Target) or Ornament Halloween Wreath ($20.00, Target) will make a house look so much more festive.

Pumpkin Inflatable Lawn Decorations

In our opinion, good decor is all about having the scariest lawn in the neighborhood. Of course that includes some spider webs, maybe a witch’s broom or two — oh, and investing in this Inflatable 3-Tier Pumpkin Decoration too. Not only will this lawn decoration look good during the day, but it has built-in LED lights inside so at night the house will really shine ($25.00, Target).

This Year’s Family Costume

Every year it’s a struggle to come up with the perfect family costume. Not only does it need to look really, really cute, but everyone needs to agree on the same idea, which is not easy. So when we saw that these super cute robot costumes came in men’s ($35.00, Target), women’s ($35.00, Target), kid’s ($20.00, Target), adaptive kid’s ($30.00, Target), and even costumes for pets ($12.99, Target) we were sold!
