The holiday season is still a few months away, but Aldi grocery store has an important reason to start advertising its unconventional advent calendars early.
Last year, the demand for the wine and cheese advent calendar was so high, stores sold out almost immediately. Now, with the addition of beer and sparkling wine calendars, they're sure to sell out again.
Each holiday season, the countdown begins at the start of December marking every day to Christmas. There have been calendars with beauty products, lifestyle brands, and obviously chocolates, but the cheese and alcohol ones have shoppers sprinting to stores to pick them up as soon as they hit the shelves.
Aldi's wine and cheese advent calendars will be back starting November 6.
Aldi's Instagram account writes, "Whether you’re shopping for the wine lover, the cheese enthusiast, the beer devotee, or the chocolate connoisseur, we’ve got unique advent calendars that’ll get anyone in the holiday spirit!"
Last year some stores sold out so quickly that a few locations may enact a ticketing system to create a fair amount to purchase for shoppers. In the comments of the post, a few people questioned how many would be available, and Aldi assured eager consumers that they've upped the quantity in all stores.
"Our Wine Advent Calendars sold out so quickly last year that we increased the number each store will receive. Supplies are still limited, so grab yours early."
The cheese calendar is filled with a surprise collection of the Emporium Cheeses for $15.
The box includes 24 different mini imported cheeses. According to Delish, the box will hold standards like cheddar and gouda, plus fancier options like Edam and Leicester. These boxes would make great pre-Christmas gifts to get family and friends in a cheesy holiday spirit.
The extremely popular wine box is back, plus a beer calendar, and a sparkling wine one for New Year's Eve.
The $70 wine advent calendar will also be available in all stores that carry alcohol and is filled with 24 mini bottles of various types of wines. Plus, Aldi has added a new alcoholic advent calendar filled with different beers for $50. To ring in the New Year, there's a seven-day countdown from Christmas to New Year's Eve with mini bottles of sparkling wine for $25 that will become available on December 4.
