Bizarre Pool Wedding Ceremony Leaves the Internet Confused

The most chaotic wedding ceremony might have just gone viral on TikTok, thanks to a bride sharing a video from her wedding, which apparently took place in a pool. There are also latrobe lights and a man on a water jetpack in the background for good measure.

But we aren’t here to judge, because the other TikTok users in the comments did that just fine.

For some, the video of the wedding seems like a “fever dream.” Others called out a TikTok creator who typically recreates the most outlandish viral videos on the platform.

In videos that followed the ceremony, the woman who shared her wedding with social media, whose name is Gesy, posted other videos to share other details of her big day. She stands by the glitz and glamour of it all, even if seeing a couple cut their wedding cake in a pool is pretty wild by anyone’s standards.

The ceremony wasn’t complete without a jetpack, apparently.

Weddings can be as over the top as the couple wants. For Gesy and her groom, that couldn’t be truer. In her video where she and her new husband enter a shallow pool to cut their cake, a lot is happening at once.

You can hear a live singer crooning somewhere on a microphone, a man is moving up, down, left, and right while strapped to a water jetpack in the background, and lights are flashing all over the place.

There’s even a fake penguin in the background at the edge of the large pool behind the couple. The bride seems to have no issue with getting the bottom of her dress wet as she and her groom walk into the water, which is likely the kids’ pool at whatever hotel where they decided to have their wedding.

Her husband has his pantlegs rolled up, and neither of them seems bothered by a little discomfort during their reception. It’s likely that the chaos around them was all part of the plan. People in the comments on TikTok, however, have plenty to say about the bizarre pool wedding.

Some users are calling the pool wedding a ‘fever dream.

Because of the seemingly random light flashes and other things going on in the background that are honestly pretty distracting, some TikTokers commented that it seems like a “fever dream” of sorts.

Others took notice of the “overstimulation” going on, even though the bride and groom seem very much unbothered by everything.

“This is like all the random pieces of my dreams that I remember the next day just smushed together,” someone joked in the comment section.

Another person joked, “Me when I give ChatGPT too many prompts.”

To the same tune, someone else commented, “There [are] literally 10 different events going on in this one video.”

To be fair, they aren’t wrong. And Gesy stands behind her decision to have the wedding and reception of her dreams. She shared more videos of her wedding after the one that went viral.

In one video, there’s a fire show and a bride and groom entrance full of carefully planned theatrical smoke and fog.

Regardless of what other people might think of the wedding now, clearly, it was always meant to be an event full of spectacle.
