Bride in Viral Wedding Video Now Says Relationship Was a Lie

All that glitters isn’t always gold. That’s certainly the case for a lot of the content we readily consume on social media. While most of us love a good love story, a clip online can never tell the full story of a relationship. And one now single mom whose wedding video went viral a couple years ago, is assuring the public that things aren’t always as they seem.

After her traumatic divorce, she wants people to know the truth. It just so happens that it’s all very juicy.

Makenzie went viral for a second time when she gave an update to her wedding video.

In 2021, Makenzie Robison posted a video from her wedding on TikTok that garnered 8 million views on the social media app. It featured her former wife doubled over, sobbing, wiping tears, sniffling and struggling to breathe as Makenzie walked down the aisle. But today, Makenzie is convinced that it was all a lie. She went viral all over again as she told the internet that the video and the relationship were fake.

Makenzie revealed she got divorced seven months after she got pregnant.

In the update video, Makenzie says, “So I got married and then divorced seven months later.” Makenzie says people leave comments every day on her video, saying that if their partner doesn’t react like this as they walk down the aisle, they don’t want them.

But Makenzie said this is not what you want. “No, no, no,” Makenzie says. “It was not love. It was fake.” Then she dropped an additional bombshell, revealing that her ex-wife left her when she was three months pregnant.

When Makenzie got pregnant, the marriage took a turn.

In another video, Makenzie shared the whole story of their brief marriage and it was a doozy. She shared that she was quiet throughout her divorce and pregnancy. But she’s heard a lot of lies her ex-wife is spreading about her. So Makenzie decided to set the record straight.

“Me and my wife got married in August. About four months in, we decided we wanted to have a baby.” The couple didn’t have the money for IVF, so they joined support groups and found a sperm donor on their own. The two drove to meet him, the donor provided the sample and later Makenzie and her ex implanted it. Two weeks later, she learned she was pregnant.

Immediately after, Makenzie became gravely ill with hyperemsis gravidarum, a condition that causes severe nausea throughout the entire pregnancy. As a result, Makenzie was in and out of the hospital. She felt like she was dying. Apparently, the stress of her illness put a lot of strain on her relationship.

The ex went to work one day and never came back.

Things came to a head when the ex was on her way to work. She and Makenzie had been arguing and were texting back and forth. In the middle of the discussion, Makenzie said, “If that’s how you feel fine, then leave.” Her ex took her up on the offer.

She went to work that day and never came home again. Sadly, her ex didn’t even say goodbye to her 3-year-old son from a previous relationship. The two were never able to have a full conversation about the end of their marriage.

Makenzie keeps the original video up so she can make a little money.

Instead, the ex was partying with old friends. Eventually, she told Makenzie through text, that she was talking to someone else. Makenzie took it upon herself to file for divorce and that’s when the rumors started. Her ex started telling people that Makenzie cheated on her, even sleeping with the man who fathered her child.

Many wondered why Makenzie has left the original video up. She shared that she’s made money from the video (about $700 to date) and as a single mother of two, she can use the money. We think for all of the trouble she endured, it’s only fair.
