Every Celeb That Got Bangs This Year And Actually Looked Good

From a rainbow of colors to trendy micro-bangs, there's a plethora of ways to wear the hairstyle that so many celebrities dared to try this year.

Bangs often get a bad wrap for being the chop after a bad breakup, or being a look almost no one can pull off. But after perusing through the various looks of Kendall Jenner, Maisie Williams, Zendaya, and more, you'll be convinced that bangs are back.

These 12 celebrities either made the blunt cut or wore a wig or even just clip-in bangs, and each of them looked fabulous. There are so many ways to make this style work if you're brave enough to try.

Hilary Duff has a flawless fringe that can swoop out to the sides or fall forward.

The '70s-style bangs on the former Disney star looked effortless with her chunky glasses. The mom of two debuted this summer style in her Instagram and wrote, "Oh hey, summer!" wearing her Glasses USA frames. Duff has continued to stay in the acting game since her Lizzie McGuire days, and stars alongside Sutton Foster on TV Land's Younger.

Kendall Jenner opted for a completely different style for a night out.

Jenner proved that bangs don't have to be a permanent style by using clip-in bangs at an event. One of the scariest part of cutting your bangs is knowing the growing-out period is inevitable, but not if you use chic extensions like these. The supermodel and Kardashian-Jenner sister proved that she can truly make any style look good in this post with the caption "Yes, no, maybe so?"

Maisie Williams is known for her brunette bob as Arya on Game of Thrones, but showed off a striking color at the season eight premiere.

Bangs are nothing new for the young actor, but experimenting with new colors is. The 22-year-old grew up in front of the camera, and had to keep her hair a mousy brown to fit her iconic character, Arya Stark. But as soon as production ended, the star began dyeing her hair shades of purple, pink, and even blonde.

Zendaya brought the style back for a night at the Euphoria series premiere.

Zendaya also opted for an impermanent version of the hairstyle, but her look could have inspired anyone to go out and make that cut. The 22-year-old looked effortless on the purple carpet for the start of her brand-new show. Now that Euphoria's first season has wrapped, people realize just how much emotion Zendaya put into the character and expect her to win many awards come next year.

Elizabeth Olsen showed off this style at the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, and it looked like she was meant for it.

Bangs often look best, objectively, on triangle face–shapes, but Elizabeth Olsen blew any preconceptions about bangs out of the water with her stunning style on the Marvel red carpet. The Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda, actor wore a gorgeous emerald green dress with a plunging neckline and debuted a brand-new hairstyle. The long fringe fit her perfectly, and it stuck around even almost four months later.

Camila Cabello wowed her followers with this platinum wet look for a new music video.

The normally dark-haired singer looked completely different with this style she adorned for Mark Ronson's "Find U Again" music video. Even though the style was temporary, she totally pulled it off, and could go blonde for real if it ever suited her. The 22-year-old usually sports dark brunette bangs parted down the middle and swept off to the sides, but this was a totally new blunt style.

Yara Shahidi proves that bangs aren't just for straight hair, and curly girls can rock the style too.

There are plenty of ways for curly-haired girls to rock bangs, and Yara Shahidi knows it. The Grownish actor is glowing in this natural style with a no-makeup makeup look and her Afro styled impeccably. The 19-year-old's wispy bangs fall just below her eyebrows.

Constance Wu has tried out bangs a few times in 2019, and each style looks better than the last.

The Crazy Rich Asians star stunned with a blunt chop at the Critics Choice Awards, where her movie was nominated and won for Best Comedy. Later she shared a video with Asian icon Sandra Oh in a slightly inebriated post where Oh is also rocking bangs. Wu will star in Hustlers with an all-star cast of Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, and more, and her character rocks trendy baby bangs, so the style is here to stay.

Kristen Stewart, unsurprisingly, had colorful side-swept bangs at the 2019 Met Gala.

Emma Roberts shared this photo with Stewart that showed off both of their campy styles at the star-studded event. Stewart debuted a super-short look with coral-colored bangs parted on either side of her face. The look was trendy and out-there, but totally worked on the actor.

Jennifer Lopez also had a wild style with a diamond-encrusted wig that dripped down the front of her face.

The triple threat star posed with her fiancé Alex Rodriguez before the 2019 Met Gala, and she wore a diamond wig that was so J.Lo. Normally, Lopez has long sandy brunette locks and sometimes rocks some fringe, but this was a completely over-the-top look for an over-the-top night. "Met Ball 2019 here we come…," she captioned this photo.

Cara Delevingne poses with her now-girlfriend Ashley Benson during production of their movie, Her Smell.

Delevingne often switches up her hairstyle and has tried bangs in the past, but none quite so '90s punk as this look from the movie based in the era. Before she and Benson were official, they starred in the movie together and shared an on-screen kiss. Delevingne's blonde mop with bangs is on full display in the clip.

Tracee Ellis Ross gets ultimate volume in this trendy hairstyle with super-short, curly bangs.

In an interview for Variety with Sarah Paulson, Ross talks about her experience in the entertainment industry as a black woman, and how she combats racism and sexism through vocalizing what she has endured.

Ross captioned this portion of the interview she shared, "Here is one of my favorite bits. Nothing like sharing and talking with someone who you respect, adore, and admire. Thank you Sarah for making space for such good conversation. It allowed me the safety to speak clearly and from my heart. I liked our interview a lot. It’s hard to know how they will turn out. This felt good."
