I'm hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year, and up until recently I was filled with more dread than excitement. I've only just started leaning into the mom as cook persona, and even though I'm finding it fun, the idea of hosting such a major event scared me.
My cookware just wasn't up to task, which I learned recently while grilling a steak for my 10-year-old (don't ask). It was time to look for new cookware, and I really wanted it to be nontoxic, pretty, nonstick, and able to handle constant use.
Unfortunately, many cookware brands that check those four boxes also come with significant price tags. But leave it to the lovable Drew Barrymore to create a set that is all those things (and more) for less than $150.
I was lucky enough to receive the 12-piece set for review purposes, and it's been fantastic so far. One of the first things I noticed is that it really is beautiful.
The sleek design looks elevated and classic, and it comes in four colors (sage green, cornflower blue, white icing, and black sesame) that are equally gorgeous.
As well as being nonstick, the cookware is also nontoxic, which was so important to me. It's hard to find a nontoxic cookware brand with an affordable price point, but this set is free from forever chemicals, and if you're not sure what that means, it's, "a large group of chemicals that make certain products nonstick or stain resistant."
The cookware is also up to task when it comes to everyday use or preparing large meals such as Thanksgiving dinner. I've found it to be durable, and it heats evenly. The pots, pans, and lids are oven safe up to 500°F, and they are compatible with all stovetops.
You can even place them in the dishwasher, although hand-washing is recommended. These are the 12 amazing pieces in the set:
