Relatable YouTube queen Emma Chamberlain just gave us our new haircut inspiration.
The 18-year-old got her makeover from celebrity hair artist Jen Atkin, who's best known for doing major Kardashian hairstyles. Chamberlain chopped her famous long hair and swapped it out for a chic and adorable bob.
The teen is one of the lucky few who can wash her hair and go, so she rarely styles it other than for events. That's why we barely even noticed when she started posting photos of the new look. Atkin shared her own YouTube video documenting the big change.
Atkin has worked on a number of celebrity clients including many of the Kardashian-Jenner family members.
This was Chamberlain's first big hair change in a while. The vlogger has swapped her style in videos before, but this might be the first time it actually worked out. Atkin got Chamberlain's YouTube stamp of approval. The stylist wrote, "She will be available in march- @emmachamberlain had so much fun cutting this legend’s hair and most importantly she called me a youtuber. link in bio!"
Chamberlain seemed so stressed and had no idea what her hair would turn out like.
Chamberlain put her trust in the famous stylist's hands, and opted for a style picked out by Atkin. At first, the famous vlogger seemed fine to get any look, but when the ends were getting cut, she started to panic. There was no need to fret, though, because her chop turned out perfectly.
Chamberlain shared a video post-haircut but didn't show it off.
After her big cut, nothing has really changed. Chamberlain has gone about her business, and continues to live her carefree life. The long bob is perfect for someone who doesn't want to bother with styling it every day but still wants to look chic.
Most fans would recognize Chamberlain with super long, straight hair.
While she's changed up the color of her hair quite a bit, from blond to brunette to random blue stripes, her cut has stayed pretty much the same. Her long, straight hair takes little effort, but she looks more sophisticated with the long bob.
Of course, she's already wearing the shorter cut in her signature ponytail.
Atkin lamented people who wear their hair in ponytails because it becomes a safety net. Chamberlain recognized the issue, but it seems to have done little to change anything. Chamberlain is 100% herself, so it's not hard to understand why.
In the few posts where she is showing off the new style, she looks so chic.
Chamberlain recently attended Paris Fashion Week, and the shorter look fit the vibe so well. With a little curl added to her hair, she looks totally chic and put-together. Chamberlain already has the personality and wardrobe of a superstar, and now she has a hairdo to match.
