Rihanna's Fenty Beauty will launch its first liquid lipstick on November 23 — and it's a stunner, literally.
Say hello to Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($24) in Uncensored, a universally flattering red. With such bold claims, we decided to give it a try ourselves.
When we first opened the lip paint, we were shooketh. Have you ever seen a lip wand shape like this?
The lip wand was curvy AF and I fell in love with the shape of it.
The first swatch did not disappoint. Can you say PIGMENT?
The product didn't have that sticky-to-dry feel like other popular matte lipsticks. The round head of the wand held a lot of product and I didn't have to re-dip for more product.
The lip paint was literally flirting with me and I couldn't resist putting it on.
Red is may favorite lip color and I'm ride-or-die for matte formulas. I was coming into this review with really high expectations.
When I first placed the wand on my lips, I was surprised at how much product it deposited. I was able to do my entire mouth without having to double dip.
I wore the lipstick for a good six hours and the color stayed intact. I had some snacks, drank water, and talked a lot of shit.
The color didn't seem to come off while I was eating, but when I touched my lips there was a bit of transfer. In terms of formula, this is feather light on your lips and there's zero dryness (probably due to the fact that it only dries down to about 95%).
Up next to was Troy, who gasped when he saw the color-soaked lip wand.
"The packaging was STUNNING and the shape of the wand component made it easy to hold and maneuver," said Troy.
Troy loved how a small amount of product gave full pigmentation and coverage.
"It’s absolutely easy to apply compared to other red liquid lipsticks. In fact, it’s better than some that I’ve tried. Some other ones tend to be too liquid-y or streaky, especially when the shade of red is as bold as this Fenty one," he explained.

Leilah was a bit nervous about trying this matte formula; her lips are dried out from the recent weather change.
"I'm so impressed with how easy it goes on. Just one dip into the bottle provided coverage for my whole top lip. Plus, I didn't have to layer a lot to make it opaque!" said Leilah.
"For a matte lip paint, my lips feel pretty moisturized with this on. Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kits feel so chalky and drying in comparison to this!"
Hours after trying the lipstick, Leilah was shocked at the long wear time. "In the past 4 hours, I've eaten two snacks, a Blow Pop, and a whole bowl of chicken tikka and this stuff is still on. I'm in love," said Leilah.
Cindy jumped at the opportunity to try on RiRi's new red lipstick.
She said it gave her flashbacks of Rihanna's red lipstick collab with MAC. "It's like a better version because it's not as dry," said Cindy.
The red looked amazing on Cindy, but what really won her over was the packaging.
"The highlight for me is the packaging. I would buy it based on that alone, because lord knows I don't need another red lipstick given the massive collection I already have. But anything for RiRi!"
Mary practically ran to the studio to put this on her lips.
"I'm VERY picky when it comes to lip products, but I'm willing to try anything once. When I tried it on I was really surprised because it was easy to apply and lasted for a pretty long time and didn't flake or feel uncomfortable," said Mary.
There is no better way to test the durability and quality of a lipstick than by eating, so Mary put it to the test with her lunch.
"I had lunch and a milkshake and Uncensored was still staying put! I loved the color on me and this might become my everyday lip color. In fact, I might buy two when it drops!"
Last but not least was Brit, a makeup novice with a curiosity for Fenty Beauty.
"The packaging was nice — it looked way nicer than anything I typically buy. It was easy to put on, but not so easy to get off. I did think that it looked nice, a very different look than what I'm used to," said Brit.
"I don't know that I would buy it, only because I tend to wear pinks or more neutral tones. So I could see myself buying the brand in a different color."
Perhaps RiRi will bless us with more shades?!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Even though the six of us are far from representing the full and varied spectrum of skin tones that Fenty Beauty caters to, it complimented each of our complexions.
The design is a work of art and the lip wand blew our minds. A little goes a long way and you don't need as much as you would with other formulas. The price is completely fair for the quality and in comparison to other matte lip products at Sephora. TBH, we'd even pay a little more for this.
