When people say that weddings have a tendency to bring out the worst in people, they usually mean family members, in-laws, even members of the wedding party. They don’t typically mean the bride and groom. With all the money the couple has spent, you would think they would be not only in their best attire, but also on their best behavior.
But that’s not always the case. Typically, this questionable behavior doesn’t make it on camera. But in the case of one groom, it did. And the internet is having a field day.

The bride was dazzling. The groom was distant.
In this digital age, it’s not uncommon for a bride and groom to have an unplugged ceremony, requesting that their guests turn their phones off and simply enjoy the beauty and solemnity while the couple exchange vows. But in this viral wedding video, it was the groom who couldn’t put his phone down. As his beautiful bride walks down the aisle, smiling politely at her guests, her new husband looks intently at his phone.

The original video has been deleted, but not before it was captured for the world to see.
In a TikTok video that spread all over the internet before it was eventually deleted, the bride and groom walk down the aisle after having exchanged vows. The bride, in a mermaid-style gown, takes careful steps, holding onto her groom’s arm for support. He does what he can in between texting and scrolling, barely looking up to say a word to anyone in attendance.
Not only was he on the phone, the groom seemed to fuss at his bride.
The situation was bad enough as it is, but as the couple are about to leave the church, it appears that the bride suggests that her husband put his phone down for a minute and be present. It seems like a reasonable request.
But not only does the groom keep his phone securely in his hand, he seems to be perturbed by the suggestion. He’s visibly upset, directing a few words at her before turning back to his phone.
The internet believes the marriage is doomed.
The video sparked all types of conversation online, with almost none of it seeming to side with the groom. Almost everyone thought it was a red flag.
“If I was a relative of that man at the wedding seriously I was going to grab that phone off him,” one user wrote.
Others called for the woman to get out early.
Someone tweeted: “This better be a skit. If not baby girl get an annulment NOW!!!!!!"
Many others wondered about the bride’s well-being and suggested someone check on her.
We hope for the best. But this doesn’t look good … from any angle.
