No one wants to call a wedding off, especially not on the day of the actual event. Having to alert your family and friends would be mortifying. Losing out on all the money you likely spent to host the event is sickening, and contending with the possibility that you ignored warning signs and chose the wrong person is humbling, to say the least.
Still, experiencing all of those emotions is better than marrying someone when you know something is off. One bride’s reason for calling off her wedding was certainly more than enough reason to do so, and after her story was shared on The Unfiltered Bride podcast, the entire internet is shaking their heads.
'The Unfiltered Bride' podcast presented a story about a wedding that has the internet in an uproar.
The Unfiltered Bride is a podcast hosted by wedding industry experts Georgie and Beth. On the podcast, the two women share tips, gossip, and stories of wedding drama. The most recent story from the podcast has the internet in a tizzy. It’s about a woman calling off a wedding when she caught her man doing something worse than cheating on their wedding day.
Georgie said she heard this story on two different occasions.
Georgie, a wedding planner, launches into the story in a clip that has now gone viral.
“I need to tell you a story that I know,” she begins. “Oh, I’m scared,” Beth responds. “You should be,” Georgie says. Adding a validity to the tale, she says that she’s heard it on two separate occasions. “I was not at this wedding but on two occasions I’ve been told this. Both by makeup artists.”
Georgie says what this bride saw was enough to call off a wedding.
Georgie says the name of the makeup artist and storyteller was Jenny.
“Jenny says to me, ‘I did a wedding one day and you’ll never guess what happened.’ She says, the bride needed to use the toilet just before the ceremony, pre ceremony. And she walked into the toilet and what she saw was enough to end a wedding.”
Beth guessed that the groom was with someone else.
Georgie asks Beth to guess what the bride might have seen. Naturally, Beth guessed that the groom was in the bathroom cheating. “Was he with someone else?” “No, worse,” Georgie responds. Beth guesses that perhaps the groom was … self-pleasuring. That would have been strange, but not necessarily enough to call off a wedding.
Worse. Worse than anything sexual, Georgie says. Beth guesses that perhaps he was in there doing drugs.
When Georgie revealed what it was, Beth's mouth dropped.
Finally, Georgie drops the bombshell. He was in there being breastfed by his mother. Beth’s mouth flies open, stunned.
When she finally does speak, she asks, “Sorry, what?!” And then, “why would you marry a man who’s still getting bitty?” Georgie says the bride obviously didn’t know. Beth asks, “How was she still producing milk?” And then Georgie says something even more horrifying, “She’s obviously been doing it continuously to get to that bit.” Then Georgie asks Beth, would you call off the wedding?
Would you call off the wedding?
I don’t know how I’d call off the wedding. I’d likely be too stunned to speak. But we certainly wouldn’t be getting married, not on that day. Someone would have to tell my guests to … just go. Honestly, there are too many questions about why and to what lengths this “closeness” extends.
