I Accidentally Read My Mom’s Text From My Dad & I Could Hardly Believe My Eyes

When we are growing up, we learn so much from our parents. For a lot of people, they serve as the greatest inspiration for things like a good work ethic, family values, and a spiritual life. And for the very lucky, they serve as the gold standard for how we hope to be treated by our partners. Watching our parents love and care for each other unconditionally can be magical.

It doesn't stop in childhood; some people continue to be inspired by their parents' love into adulthood. Just ask Piper Phillips. The 23-year-old woman was flying home with her mom after visiting her grandparents when she caught a sneak peek of a text from her dad to her mom. She posted a video of their exchange on TikTok, where it has 9.1 million views. In eight seconds, we see what true love is all about.

Piper wasn't intentionally creeping on her mom's texts.

She just happened to look over during the flight. She posted a video to her channel, @pipercassidyphillips, with the text, "Accidentally read my dad's text to my mom while flying home from my grandparents.'"

Then, a smiling Piper gives us a glance at her mom Verena's phone, where a text from Dad, Rob, reads, "Would you like an iced oat milk latte waiting for you in the car when I pick you up?"

The mother's reply was delightful.

She wrote back, "You are so sweet." Above the exchange, we see her last text to him read, "Love You Honey Home Soon," with several kissing emojis.

These parents legit love each other, and we are here for it.

Their loving exchange went viral.

Her clip garnered the attention of millions, and with 9.1 million views, TikTokers were dying to know more. The daughter told People that her parents had always had a loving relationship and were often the envy of their friends. Rob is in a band, and Verena often goes to watch him play.

"They'll be dancing out on the floor, even though my mom has heard these songs a billion times," she said. "It's so cute to see both of them support each other equally."

Of course, TikTokers loved it.

The comment section was so happy to see something good.

This person nailed it: "This, or nothing! Don't settle ladies ."

And it made people emotional.

"Crying men don't understand this is all a girl really wants … the little things," one person wrote.

It was inspiring to many as well.

"this is the kinda love i want my kids to see only," another person commented.

" Awww thank you for letting us all take a peek, too! You are a lucky girl indeed to have such amazing parents! #Loveisalive," someone else wrote.

Rob is a good husband and dad.

Some people asked why he didn't ask if Piper wanted coffee, too, and she explained that she had to make a connecting flight to another city instead of leaving the airport in Chicago with her mom or her dad would have taken care of her too.

Her parents, who mark their 25th anniversary later this year, are her inspiration. As she told People, "It was just the little thing of him anticipating her needs and wants, knowing that her habits are getting a coffee when she lands after a long flight. Knowing a person so well is just such a true form of love."

Piper, thank you for sharing. Your parents are true relationship goals.
