And though many of us have simply evolved our hair, makeup, or wardrobe, for others the challenge is indicative of a huge internal transformation that's taken place.
Beauty YouTuber Jaclyn Hill, who's never been afraid to show us her real self, participated in the challenge, and she looks completely different.

"10 years ago I was 18 years old, working as a MAC freelance artist, dealing with bullies & engaged to be married. I was so lost & so confused about life & what I truly wanted. My dad was an addict & taught me a lot of really hard lessons (that I am now thankful for) but at the time, it made me insecure & I never knew what I wanted or deserved."
