Just in time for fall 2019, Kat Von D Beauty is releasing its newest addition to the Lolita lineup: the Lolita Por Vida (Lolita for Life) palette. We knew that a second Lolita palette was coming, but this one may become a hero product for the brand. It expands on the original 8-pan Lolita palette, which was inspired by KVDB's best-selling Lolita Everlasting Kiss liquid lipstick and perennially sold-out Lolita single eye shadow.
Like the rest of the Lolita products, the Por Vida palette is centered around a dusty rose color family, with packaging artwork drawn by Kat Von D. Check out more details below.
At 18 pans, it's one of Kat Von D Beauty's bigger makeup investments.
On Instagram, the brand called the Lolita Por Vida palette "our biggest and best value Lolita palette yet. Featuring 18 gorgeous shades inspired by the cult favorite shade 'Lolita.'"
While the first Lolita palette stuck with deep mauve colors, the Lolita Por Vida palette includes orange tones, golds, and three dramatic shimmers.
As an homage to her Mexican roots, the names of the shadow colors are all in Spanish.
As you can see, the colors span a much wider range than we're used to seeing from Kat Von D Beauty. La Luna (the moon), Muñeca (doll), and Cruz (cross) are the standout transitional shades, while Rosario, Dulce Sueños (sweet dreams), and Reina (queen) are beautiful metallic shadows for the bruja in all of us.
The one thing missing from the Lolita Por Vida palette? It does not include the namesake Lolita eye shadow. Instead, the brand updated it with Lolita Por Vida, the palette's titular shade. It's a dramatic brown tone.
Kat Von D Beauty gave us insight into these new standout shades.
They're new colors for the brand, but are destined to become favorites in your makeup wardrobe. "Luna and Dulce Sueños are a luxurious creamy foil finish, while Reina is an all-new super glitter shade," KVDB wrote on Instagram.
