She goes by one name only: Selena. And for Tejano fans — as well as fans of great music — Selena Quintanilla is an icon whose legacy still burns bright after her death. Her beauty looks were just as legendary as her music, and MAC Cosmetics honored Quintanilla with a collection in 2016. The collection sold out faster than you can say "Como La Flor," but MAC is treating us to a new round of makeup inspired by the Tex-Mex superstar herself. Here's a sneak peek of the MAC X Selena La Reina collection.
The La Reina collection is coming soon!
MAC Cosmetics announced the La Reina collection, a new round of makeup inspired by Selena. There will be new "shades designed to honour the Queen of Tejano Music," who died in 1995. Selena loved makeup in shades of purple, light pink, sienna, and a bright red lip. La reina means "the queen."

Yes, this is "a NEW Selena Quintanilla collection," which would be the second Selena offering from the brand, after the mega-successful first launch in 2016. Details are slim on what this entails, but MAC says that the La Reina collection will include "rich shades in a variety of product categories [that] flatter all skin types and tones while speaking to the icon’s legendary makeup looks," said MAC in a release.
If you missed out the first time ...
Along with promised new shades, MAC is also reissuing the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom Lipglass from the first collection. It's "a bubblegum pink with silver pearl lip glass" that pairs well as a topper on your own fave lip colors, or as a swath of shimmer on its own.
Once again, MAC Cosmetics worked with Selena's family.
Just like the dazzling first MAC X Selena collection, the company worked with Selena's family and estate to capture the truest possible colors from her makeup case. "I am forever grateful to M·A·C for allowing me to bring my creative vision to life for this collection and being able to share what I felt would celebrate my Sister’s 25th Anniversary," said Selena's sister, Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, in a release. "Working with M·A·C on both collections has been an amazing experience."
When is the La Reina collection coming out?
