It's officially boot season and there's only one trend you need to know: thigh-highs.
But for my size, finding thigh-highs that actually fit is not easy. So I decided to go on a mission to find a pair of thigh-highs that actually go over my thighs.
I found five!
I was doubtful of the stretch in these Steve Madden boots, but the material has more give than I thought. Super comfortable and wearable.
Steve Madden, $129.95
They aren't perfect, though: they stretched a bit more as I wore them and bunched up. For sizing on these, I suggest going a half size down.
I needed help zipping these Payless boots up; that's how tight they were!
Payless, $59.99
The stretchy back is pulled as tight as it can here. If my calfs were one centimeter wider, these would not fit.
This was my first time wearing boots from Torrid. The verdict? Comfy AF.
Torrid boots, $84.90
The lace-up back is great for extra width if you need it. You can definitely wear these over skinny jeans! My only con is that the ankle was a bit tight.
Aldo makes these boots in black, gray, and taupe, the color I'm wearing. The low heel makes them a great walking boot.
Aldo boots, $120
The upper shaft didn't loosen too much, but the ankle area stretched out a bit.
As the self-proclaimed queen of #BrokeGirlFashion, these boots from Rainbow fit my legs and my budget. I was feeling a bit like a daredevil and didn't even try them on before buying.
Rainbow boots, $33.74
When I got home and tried them on, I was shocked by how well they fit. Two laces on the back allow for extra give or tightening.
