Rebdolls is an online fashion brand offering cheap and chic basics from size small to 5XL.
With dresses, bottoms, swimwear, tops, and accessories from $5 and up, Rebdolls was created by plus-size model Grisel Paula.
The store has a whole section dedicated to matching two-piece sets, many of which are under $50.
Two-piece sets are amazing because you never have to ask yourself, Does this go together? It's literally the fastest way to pick an outfit. I ordered seven sets to try out the style.
The first two-piece set I tried was ONLY $28!
I tried a 3X and it fit comfortably. The only issue I had was that the top kept rising and rolling under my bra. I would recommend to size up if you are busty.
Essential two-piece skater set ($28, Rebdolls)
The material was extremely lightweight and breathable.
Perfect for summertime.
The second set really pushed me out of my comfort zone.
I pride myself on dressing for my style, not what society thinks I should wear. But this shows more visible belly outline than I usually rock.
Bet on me flutter sleeves midi set ($38.40, Rebdolls)
Rebdolls tends to favor taller women, so this "crop top" didn't fit right on my 5'4" frame.
When I first saw this outfit I was confused and excited.
The top splits right under your bra, so certain movements can let your girls peek out for the world to see. I live for the fashion drama, and anything that gives the illusion of a cape is perfect for me.
Letting go crossover top with leggings set ($31.99, Rebdolls)
The leggings are extremely curve-hugging, but still comfortable AF.
And don't go thinking matchy-matchy sets have to be monochromatic! Rebdolls makes amazing prints.
I tried this set in a 3X as well.
Trust issues V-neck crop top and pleated pant set ($36, Rebdolls)
The pants were too long. I had to knot the ends to keep them from dragging.
Plus-size athleisure is rare, so I was psyched to try this $36 jogger set.
Also in a 3X.
Counting Benjamins oversize crop top and jogger pants set ($36, Rebdolls)
The soft fabric had me hooked.
But again, these pants were made for someone taller than me.
I love anything that lets me feel like Morticia Addams in the summer.
This 3X kimono short set is definitely Morticia-approved.
Feeling the moment shorts and kimono top set ($33.60, Rebdolls)
I was worried the cropped kimono would roll up and settle under my bra, but it didn't move an inch.
The sizing of this 3X suited me fine.
I couldn't end the haul without a classic LBD, and this one comes with a duster.
The sweet spot cardigan and midi dress set ($36, Rebdolls)
This 3X was a bit snug, so I recommend sizing up.
THE VERDICT
Pros
- Rebdolls offers straight-size trends that are hard to find in plus sizes.
- The price is definitely right if you're on a budget.
- Mixing and matching possibilities are endless.
Cons
- Having to tie the pant legs in knots or have them tailored if you're short.
- Not being able to get a set in two different sizes if you're bigger on bottom/top.
Overall I really enjoyed having trendy and inexpensive options. Hopefully other brands step up to the plate as well.
