Getting your hair colored professionally isn't just expensive, it's also incredibly time-consuming. Who has the time (and money) to sit in a chair every few weeks for root and color touch-ups? Certainly not me, and neither does Sharon Osbourne, who has worn a signature deep plum red color since the days of The Osbournes in the early 2000s. Now she's going back to her roots β by embracing her natural white hair.

Hello, Osbourne is ROCKING HER WHITE LOCKS. Her colorist, Jack Martin, shared the incredible transformation photo on Instagram β and wow, the results are spectacular. Martin explains that Osbourne has "100% white hair," and had been getting her color touched up once a week for 18 years. That's a lot of time spent in the salon chair!
Martin also shared Osbourne's public hair debut.
For her white hair debut, Osbourne appeared on her showΒ The Talk on CBS. Osbourne has been a cohost on the show since 2010, so it was the natural home for her natural hair. The live studio audience erupted into cheers as she she strutted out onto the stage.

The Osbourne matriarch explained that husband Ozzy's reaction was simply "the Devil wears Prada!" which, considering that he literally calls himself the Prince of Darkness, makes total sense.
Cohost Sheryl Underwood was especially delighted, remarking that she can finally call Osbourne "a silver fox now."
Her reason for going au naturel white?
"I was so fed up with going and having it dyed," she said. "I was just like, 'I can't do this anymore!' Why am I trying to do something or be something that I'm not?"
Osbourne is getting at the societal expectation for women to age "gracefully," which, as we all know, is code for "look young forever at all costs, because women only have value in their youth." It's an unfair standard β but now, angel-white hair has a new visibility champion in Osbourne.
Compliments came in from fellow daytime host royalty.
On Today With Hoda and Jenna, host Jenna Bush Hager was floored by Osbourne's new look. "First of all, she looks totally gorgeous," said Hager. "Her hair looks beautiful." Hoda Kotb agreed, noting how healthy Osbourne's hair still looks, in spite of the coloring treatment.
Martin's secret? He shouted out hair bonding treatment Olaplex to keep Osbourne's locks in lustrous condition. It should go without saying, but do not try a hair transformation this drastic at home!
