TikTok Mom of 6 Sent a Text to the Wrong Number & It Changed Her Life Forever

Every couple has a story of how they met and eventually fell in love. But once in a blue moon, you hear a story that is the trifecta of love, fate, and straight up adorableness that solidifies our belief that some people were truly made for each other.

The love story of TikTok mom Brenda and her husband Isaiah Stearns sounds like it came straight from the pages of a Hollywood writers' room, but to see their faces, and those of their children, it’s clear that their tale is the real thing.

Brenda texted a wrong number but found Mr. Right.

@she_plusfive 13 years ago I sent that text by accident never expecting him to keep my number and call me back! I’m so glad he did #lovestory #howwemet #relationships #couples #largefamily #momanddad #lovewins #ourstory #storytime #couplegoals #ourlovestory ♬ World's Smallest Violin - AJR

Brenda explains in a TikTok video montage how their love was sparked. “In 2009 I sent a text to the wrong number … He replied and this is what happened next…”

She outlines how they briefly dated long distance, moved to be closer, got engaged, and then married, and everything in between. The comments section fell in love with her story and their big, beautiful family.

“Things happen for a reason and God had a plan you folks have such a beautiful family,” one commenter remarked.

“Imagine all these new lives and experiences that started with one mistaken click,” another chimed in.

But many just want to keep living through the experience with her.

Brenda's entire life story is a good one.

Brenda made three videos about her journey from Mexico to being a married woman in Ohio. In the first video, the mom of six explains that she was “born and raised in Mexico and moved to Minnesota when I was 12.”

After a decade, she moved to Georgia with an older sister while her mom and younger sister were living in Ohio. In 2009, she visited them and connected with some of her sister’s friends. Once she was back at home, she decided to send out a scripture from Philippians to some friends, including people she met during her visit.

The creator told Newsweek: "I had this habit of sending positive messages on Mondays or throughout the week to everyone in my phone book. I probably had, like, 10 phone numbers."

'Amen to that. Who is this?'

After sending the text, she received one reply that said, "Amen to that. Who is this?" Thinking it was one of the friends she met, Brenda reintroduced herself. "I said it's Brenda, Roxy's sister. But the reply came back and he said, 'No, we've never met. My name is Isaiah Stearns,' he said, and that's how it started," she explained to Newsweek.

It turned out to be Isaiah, who introduced himself and wrote, “By your text I can see that you love God. That’s awesome.” He asked to get to know her and she balked, but she agreed to let him call her.

In her second video, she shares that her now-husband had just gotten a new phone and number. Her text was the first he received. “If that isn’t fate, I don’t know what is,” she shared.

Brenda also explains that she originally meant to send the text in the morning, but got distracted and didn't hit send until the afternoon, just hours after Isaiah had gotten his new number.

Their love grew from 'Amen' to 'I do.'

They started to talk on the phone in October 2009, and as their friendship grew, Brenda wanted to get expert opinions on Isaiah. Her mom and sister were in Ohio (while Brenda was in Georgia), so they went on a date with him. When she asked her mom to rate him on a scale of 1 to 10, her mom responded “11” and told Brenda that she was going to marry him.

Brenda was able to move to Ohio sooner than she planned and they saw each other in person for the first time on December 1, 2009. They became an official couple on their first date. By Valentine's Day 2010, they were engaged. Just over six months from when they first set eyes on each other, they were married. Now, over a decade later, they share six beautiful children.
