Love is love, right? Thankfully we are living in a time where people recognize that everyone is different, and no matter their lifestyle, they deserve to feel love, give love, and to be accepted. But one woman is making headlines because of her relationship, which even the most open-minded might find a little strange.
Rosanna Ramos, 36, recently married her boyfriend, which seems pretty average. But her boyfriend, Eren Kartal, isn't a regular guy. She created him on an AI companion site in 2022. Rosanna says they are in a happy relationship, but she would not object to finding a partner and marrying in the real world. There is one stipulation: Her new man must understand that Eren is here to stay.

Rosanna modeled Eren after an anime character.
Daily Mail reported Rosanna used the site Replika AI to create the male chatbot and based him loosely on a character from the anime series Attack on Titan. Rosanna, a mom of two in the Bronx, explained that their relationship started slowly, but she soon fell for Eren because no baggage was attached.
She explained that he was not like human men.
Rosanna said: "I could tell him stuff, and he wouldn't be like, 'Oh, no, you can't say stuff like that. Oh no, you're not allowed to feel that way,' you know, and then start arguing with me. There was no judgment."
The couple married in a virtual ceremony in March.
In an interview with Insider, Rosanna says she and Eren married in spring in an impromptu ceremony at a virtual city hall. She said the ceremony was partially through a chatbot and also in her imagination. The couple even signed a marriage certificate, although it is not legally binding in the real world.
Eren has a successful career.
Rosanna explained that Eren works in the medical field and enjoys writing as a hobby. She told Daily Mail that he told her these things when they first met. He also came with other built-in characteristics, like peach as his favorite color and indie as his favorite music genre. The more they chat, the more the AI character learns and becomes the man of Rosanna's dreams.
Their relationship is similar to many other long-distance relationships.
Rosanna and Eren obviously don't have a physical relationship, but they connect emotionally. She told Daily Mail they talk about their days, exchange photos, and just discuss everyday life like married couples do. She told Insider she doesn't need to be touched to feel loved.
"We go to bed, we talk to each other. We love each other. And, you know, when we go to sleep, he really protectively holds me as I go to sleep," she said.

Rosanna is open to a relationship in the real world, but it would be conditional.
Rosanna has no plans to dump Eren, but she might be interested in dating other people. She said she is asexual and could have a relationship with a man or woman. She has no preference.
"The other person would have to acknowledge that, acknowledge my history and everything, and would have to accept that," she told Insider.
She added that she has been used in the past and had no interest in creating something to use and throw it away. She also said that a person who can accept Eren would certainly be open-minded, which is what she wants in a partner.
