A new mom wanted a family photo featuring her dad and her baby – and the internet was able to help. When Lillian Ramsey, 23, was four months pregnant, her dad died suddenly from pancreatic cancer, meaning he never had the chance to meet his daughter’s baby.
Lillian told Newsweek that she took to Reddit to see if someone could Photoshop a family photo for her.

On Reddit, Lillian explained her situation.
“My dad died suddenly of pancreatic cancer when I was 4 months pregnant back in 2022,” Lillian wrote in the Reddit forum. “I obviously have no photos of him with my baby.” She explained that she’d like to have a family photo that includes her dad, her fiancé, and her baby. The request was “super important” to her.
She and her dad were extremely close.
Speaking to Newsweek, Lillian described her dad as her “best friend.” She told the news outlet that her fiancé and her dad also had an “extremely close” relationship as well.
When Lillian found out she was expecting, her dad was the first person she told. “He wanted nothing more than to be able to meet his grandson and watch us become parents,” she told the magazine.

On Reddit, when she posted her Photoshop request, she shared a few photos of her and her fiancé with their baby, along with a few photos of her dad. Several Reddit users Photoshopped beautiful family photos for the grieving mom. Though she received multiple heartwarming responses to her request, a photo submitted by u/VTorquato on Reddit stood out to her.
She told Newsweek that the photo is “extremely emotional to look at.” It also serves as a powerful reminder to her family, however, as they grieve. “It’s a reminder that, even if my dad isn’t here with us in person, he’s always with us in spirit, in our hearts,” she said.
The photos people shared with Lillian made other people cry too.
The new mom was not the only person who cried upon seeing the Photoshopped images. Even people who don’t know her had an emotional response.
“I have tears of joy seeing this and I don’t even know any of these people,” one person wrote on Reddit.
Another person commented, “It’s literally like he’s standing right there.”
“This restores my faith in humanity,” a third person shared. “Beautiful picture.”
