7-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped at Gunpoint While Dad Abandons Him To Run and Hide

A Milwaukee dad is defending himself after going viral. Jamal White Sr. became the internet’s villain after video footage of his young son getting kidnapped at gunpoint was shown on the news. As two armed men stormed toward White and his son, he quickly disappeared. And the little boy was left behind. Although he was taken by the armed men, the boy was returned within 24 hours. Still, the memory of others is long, and they aren’t letting the dad forget that there is evidence of him not protecting his son.

WISN 12 reported about the abduction of 7-year-old Jamal White Jr., which took place on Friday, July 11. The news station shared surveillance footage of the incident during a news broadcast. In the video, a white Jeep was parked where the young boy was riding his bike. At the same time, his father was driving another car alongside the boy. The Jeep suddenly blocked the driveway and two men, one with a gun, jumped out.

The men began chasing after Jamal White Sr., who turned and ran into the house, and locked the door. Meanwhile, the unarmed man grabbed the little boy and put him in the Jeep. Quickly, the family ran out of the house, and the dad slammed his hands on the trunk of the car in the driveway in frustration.

Five hours after the boy went missing, an Amber Alert was issued.

White Sr. shared the coverage on Facebook, using the opportunity to defend his actions.

“H— yeah I ran,” he wrote. “I’m thinking they tryna rob me not take my damn baby, y’all slow, we both alive n my baby tried to get away like I taught em, god had us the whole time obviously I did right, my baby safe!”

That’s not the only post he made on July 14. He also called out the people who were calling him out as a bad parent for allowing his son to get kidnapped.

“Yall foul asl painting them crazy a– narratives,” he reprimanded. He also mentioned that the police were “treating me like I’m the bad guy.” He also alleged that police questioned him while still searching for his son. “As long as my baby straight all that ever mattered. [I don’t] owe nobody nun but baby j.”

His posts didn’t stop people from sharing their opinions.

“How u felt as a man running in the crib locking the door while yo son screaming for u, he definitely the man of the house now,” one person wrote.

Another comment read: “There is no excuse for why you ran inside and closed the door when you see a 🔫 and a 🥷 running after your child. I woulda turned into Batman!!”

While police have arrested someone in relation to the kidnapping, no additional details have been given. The investigation is ongoing.
