A Michigan family is trying to make sense of a “domestic dispute” turned tragedy. A 13-year-old girl is accused of stabbing her 7-year-old sister, who later died. Right now, police have released few details about what happened.
It’s hard to imagine what kind of pain the family must be experiencing as they deal with this unspeakable tragedy. The police investigation is ongoing as they try to figure out what could have possibly happened that led to the death of the younger child.

The police shared limited information about the incident of Facebook.
“On September 28, 2024, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:06 PM in the area of Telegraph and Chestnut regarding a domestic disturbance,” the Taylor Police Department said in a Facebook post. “Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 7-year-old juvenile female had sustained injuries consistent with being stabbed.”
Unfortunately, the stab wounds turned out to be fatal.
The police continued, saying that the little girl was “immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment but later succumbed to her injuries.” The police department gave no further indication about what the dispute entailed or how severe the injuries were.

The suspect was unlikely.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim’s injuries were allegedly inflicted by her 13-year-old sister during the domestic dispute,” the police explained, saying that “the suspect was taken into custody without incident.”
Taylor police are “handling the situation with sensitivity” since the suspect is a minor. The police department also revealed that because both the victim and suspect are minors, it will not release further details about their identities.
The case is still being investigated.
“This is a tragic event for the family, and we are ensuring that the necessary resources are being made available to support everyone involved,” the police stated. “We ask the public to respect the family’s privacy as we carry out a thorough investigation.” They ask that anyone who has any information reach out to the Taylor Police Department.
Neighbors were shocked by the incident.
“When my grandma told me I was horrified because they were best friends, they would always play together — they had My Little Pony toys and they would play with each other,” one person said, according to Fox 2.
“Once in a while I would come over here to my grandma’s and I would see the little girl riding her bike down the street and I’d go play with her,” the person who wished to remain anonymous continued. “All she wanted to do was be friends with everyone.”
