Singer John Legend is famous for his silky smooth voice and romantic ballads. And now he's lending his golden pipes to a new album of children's music inspired by his four children with wife Chrissy Teigen: Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren. It makes sense that a dad with so many little ones at home would make music that he can share with his family.
The album features three songs in partnership with legendary children's brand Fisher-Price after John shared a video of himself singing a Fisher-Price song to the delight of his toddlers on his Instagram.

John made the album with his family in mind.
On August 30, John released his first children's album, My Favorite Dream. He celebrated the album's release with a special Instagram post featuring pictures of his family over the years.
"It’s finally release day for My Favorite Dream! This album has been a true labor of love. It’s completely inspired by my wife and our babies, the family tree we’re all a part of and are continuing to grow. I want our babies AND yours to find joy and inspiration and comfort from this music. I hope it helps them fall in love with music and helps them cope with all the worries and challenges they may have. I hope the spirit of LOVE at the center of the album is contagious and palpable. And, when it’s time, I hope it helps them FALL ASLEEP (please!) and dream all their favorite dreams," he captioned the post.
The album was a family affair.
In early August, John announced the first single from the album, "L-O-V-E," which features wife Chrissy as well as his two oldest children, Luna and Miles. In an interview with People, John revealed that the album art was made by someone special to him.
"I've had Luna design the single art for each of my singles from the children's album I've been working on. That's been pretty cool. Having my daughter design my single covers was definitely a first," he said.

John collaborated with popular brand Fisher-Price on some songs and toys.
John teamed up with famous preschool toy brand Fisher-Price on three of the album's tracks: “Maybe,” “Friendship,” and “Great, Great Day.” The songs are also featured on three toys offered by Fisher-Price: the Fisher-Price Glow and Grow Kick & Play Piano Gym, the Fisher-Price Rockin' Record Player, and the Fisher-Price Link Squad toys, (Opposites Fox, Jam & Count Panda, Bop & Groove Tiger, Crawl ‘n Colors Chameleon, and A to Z Yak).
"Music and Fisher-Price were a big part of my childhood, and they are both a big part of my kids’ lives today," John said in a press release announcing the collaboration. "That unique connection makes this partnership with Fisher-Price and the children’s album we’re collaborating on so special."
The idea for the children's album actually came after John filmed himself singing the song "Maybe," also known as the "Purple Monkey Song," in an Instagram video about a year ago.
John poked fun at a popular trend recently with youngest daughter Esti.
John and Esti recently used "My Favorite Dream" to do their own version of a popular social media trend on Instagram.
"Recorded an entire album for my baby girl so she won't be impressed by your son playing a G chord on guitar," he wrote over the video of him picking Esti up and then staring intensely into the camera.
"Dad mode activated," he captioned the post.
