The little boy went missing after being out with his siblings.
Dang Tien Lam, 6, lives in the Yen Bai province of Vietnam with his family. On August 17, the little boy was playing in a stream with his nine siblings when he wandered off into the hills and got lost, the BBC reported local news as saying. He was found five days later by local farmers.
He was found in the forest by a group of farmers who were working in the area.
Local farmers were clearing a cinnamon field near the forest when they heard cries that sounded like a child. That's when they found Lam, who was sitting in cassava bushes almost 4 miles from where he had initially gone missing. The young boy had become so weak he was unable to stand.

The boy was able to keep himself alive by eating what he could find.
"I'm so tired, I can't stand up, please carry me up," Lam said, according to Ly Van Nang, one of the farmers.
According to reports shared by the BBC, Lam survived on wild fruits, leaves, and stream water. When he was rescued, the young boy, whose clothes were completely dirty, was offered cake by locals.
Those involved say it was a 'miracle' that Lam was found alive.
"[The child told me] that when he got lost, he could not find his way home," Nang told local reporters. "And the more he walked, the more he could not find a way out."
Police told local news that it was a "miracle" Lam was found alive. In a Facebook post by local media news outlet, they said "Congratulations on returning safely to your family." Many people expressed their joy that the little boy was found alive and well.
