For months, people both in and out of the government have been demanding the release of the Epstein files. The files provide evidence of the crimes of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide in jail after his 2019 conviction. Many of the photos include high-profile people who were associated with Epstein to varying degrees, leading to a lot of speculation about who knew about his illicit acts. One of the people who is most heavily scrutinized is President Donald Trump, and people believe that his reluctance to release the photos is because they will implicate him in Epstein’s crimes.
Recent photos of Epstein himself, seemingly with a young child, are now drawing attention. According to People, the photos came from the files released by the Department of Justice on December 19, 2025.
In one of the photos, Epstein is shirtless while sitting on what looks like a white couch. His hairy chest is on full display, as is the barbed wire tattoo around his bicep. He is wearing white sweatpants and has a dark shirt in his lap.

Off to the side and largely out of frame, a bare leg and foot can be seen. It’s clearly the foot of a small child wearing a black Croc shoe. The child is sitting opposite Epstein, and nothing can be seen other than the young person’s foot.
The other photo from the set shows Epstein looking off to the side and smiling, but it’s hard to know if he’s interacting with the child or someone else off-camera.
The Department of Justice has been releasing the Epstein files in batches over the past three weeks. There are over 100,000 images expected to be released altogether, but so far, none has been particularly incriminating.
Some of those photos show Epstein with a variety of high-profile people, including singer Michael Jackson, Bill Gates, and President Bill Clinton. Regarding Clinton, his chief of staff Angel Ureña took to X to address the photos released.
“They can release as many grainy 20-plus-year-old photos as they want, but this isn’t about Bill Clinton. Never has, never will be,” the post reads. “Even Susie Wiles said Donald Trump was wrong about Bill Clinton.”
None of the people in the pictures is being accused of criminal activity — all the photos to date have been released without context.
