A male teacher in Wisconsin is accused of multiple sex crimes against his young male students. The teacher was said to be touching the students inappropriately, and when questioned by a student’s parent, compared himself to Jesus, quoting the Bible in the process.
Based on documents law enforcement shared, the teacher knew his behavior was inappropriate, making it even more upsetting for the parents. And while the school is cooperating with the investigation, it isn’t clear how much it knew about the teacher’s behavior previously.

Daniel Rick, 36, from Jackson, Wisconsin, was a teacher at Christ Alone Lutheran School in Thiensville. Police arrested Rick on January 17, 2025, after a months-long investigation that led to two felony charges.
According to WTMJ, in November 2024, Thiensville Police received a report from Child Protective Services that Rick might have been engaging in inappropriate behavior with an elementary school-aged boy. The report claimed Rick would have the student sit on his lap, touch the student’s stomach, and kiss the student on the head.
This was reportedly not an isolated incident. The criminal complaint against Rick said the teacher would choose a “favorite” male student each year, and he would engage in the same behavior of inappropriate touching.
FOX6 reported that one student told Thiensville police that Rick told him he had to stop because he “could lose his job or go to jail.”
In the complaint, it says that parents met with the teacher to discuss his behavior in January 2024. During the meeting, Rick “quickly broke into tears,” before trying to justify his behavior by comparing himself to Jesus. “Let the little children come to me,” he quoted from the Bible.

Police also learned of another upsetting incident that took place last year. A student told police that the teacher, who was also an athletic director, called him to the classroom after school. Prosecutors stated that Rick compared the boy’s athletic ability to older students. Then, the teacher allegedly pulled the boy’s pants down to “see his pubic hair.”
Later, Rick allegedly kissed the student on the cheek, telling the student not to tell anyone because he “didn’t want to get in trouble.”
When investigators interviewed him last week, the teacher admitted “what he did was wrong.”
Rick has resigned from his position at the school. Christ Alone Lutheran School issued a statement to parents and families that FOX6 published.
“Student safety is a top priority for us at Christ Alone Lutheran School. In working with law enforcement, we have been informed and want to inform you that Mr. Rick has been charged with criminal conduct. We understand this information raises concerns. Since criminal charges are now pending, no additional information can be released at this time,” the statement reads.
Rick was charged with felony child enticement ā expose genitals/pubic area/intimate parts and exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts to a child. He first appeared in court on January 21, and his bond was set at $100,000.
Additionally, he was ordered to have no contact with Christ Alone Lutheran School or Christ Alone Lutheran Church, or anyone under 18 years old, and to also not use the internet.
