
Physical abuse is never OK, but when it happens to a child, the reports are that much more heartbreaking. Sadly, violence against kids remains an all-too-common occurrence.
One Texas woman was arrested after being accused of a humiliating and disgusting act against a child. Not only did Claudia Velediaz-Bonifazi allegedly shove a young boy's head in a toilet, but she also allegedly forced him to drink the water. Let's take a closer look at this disturbing case.

Velediaz-bonifazi was arrested on April 3.

On April 3, Velediaz-Bonifazi, of Woodway, Texas, was taken into custody by the Woodway Public Safety Department, according to a news release. She was charged with injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury. A child reportedly told teachers and counselors about what happened to him after arriving at school.
The boy detailed how he was forced to drink toilet water.
The boy told school adults that he was allegedly "dragged to the bathroom by his hair to the bathroom by his hair." After that, "his head was forced into the toilet where he was forced to drink toilet water," per the Woodway PSD release. Additionally, the boy was "missing pieces of his hair” because of the incident.

He apparently suffered other abuse, too.
After the boy made his allegations, the Woodway PSD and Child Protective Services investigated. They learned the boy was allegedly the victim of other "violent incidents." These included “being punched, hit with miscellaneous objects, and not being fed for long periods of time,” according to the release.
Currently, he's in the care of a family member.
The boy has been placed with a relative, People reported. It's unclear whether the boy and Velediaz-Bonifazi were related. As the Woodway Public Safety Department stated, he was "in her care."

In the comments of the Woodway PSD's Facebook news release, members of the community had something to say about the allegations.
One person wrote, "Oh my heart! As educators, we HAVE to teach our kids to speak up! They are told not to at home & are scared to. We’ve got to somehow convince otherwise. No telling how long this has been going on. Sick & sad. Way to go to staff for reaching out."
"I wanna see her be forced to drink toilet water ," another Facebook user commented.
Meanwhile, someone else wrote, "The WPSD continues to do an excellent job in protecting all of our community."
