Last week's school shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, left four people dead: students Mason Schermerhorn, 14, and Christian Angulo, 14, and teachers Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53. When 14-year-old student Colt Gray allegedly opened fire on the school, he also injured an additional nine people.
Since the shooting, students at the school have released video footage on social media they took during the incident. One video that has gone viral shows a moment that will be incredibly heartbreaking for parents.

The video is brief, but it's making everyone emotional.
An Apalachee student named Jay (TikTok username @yumyum019) shared a video on TikTok that shows dozens of Apalachee parents running toward the football field where their kids were waiting to be picked up.
“Look at the parents running to us,” Jay wrote over the video, alongside crying and dove emojis.
The comments on TikTok were full of sympathy.
“All I can think is about the two children who lost their lives and their parents couldn’t find them, and it makes me so sick ,” one person wrote.
“Of all the videos I’ve seen, this broke me. We love you, Apalachee. ,” another comment reads.
“I started crying seeing all those parents running to their kids. As a mom myself I can imagine the terror they feel. Even if they did get a text from their child I would still need to see them,” someone else wrote.
“You know those parents all seeing their kids as toddlers on the bleachers ,” another viewer shared.

Every parent can relate to what those parents must have been feeling in those moments.

“Let’s pray for those who lost their lives and their families. it’s hard to see these parents running to their kids hoping they made it. ,” one person commented.
“As a Mom this has me immediately crying. The absolute anxiety sending kids to school these days,” someone else shared.
“To them you are all still the tiny babies they brought home 14 or so years ago. As a mom myself this is their worst nightmare,” another person wrote. “Seeing your face and knowing your ok will be the moment they breathe ok again.”
“Bro I just broke down I don’t want my parents to go thru that,” someone else chimed in.
A parent shared a similar video.
TikToker Kristen Harris (@blessedwife53) shared a video from the perspective of a parent finding out about the shooting.
“When you tell your husband there’s been a school shooting and he’s at work!” she wrote over video footage of a man running to his car and speeding out of the parking lot.
“I was standing outside of this building, watching him run to his car as his manager. It gave me chills,” one comment read.
Harris explained that her husband didn’t ask permission to leave work, writing, “He just yelled, School shooting.. I’m gone, watch it on Fox News.”
