AI-Generated Diagrams Hanging in Classroom Are Full of Glaring Errors & Parents Should Worry

The topic of artificial intelligence images is currently a tricky one to navigate. While some people praise AI images for their ability to stretch the limits of someone’s creative vision, others argue they’re harmful. No matter what side you agree with, AI doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

A person on Reddit shared AI images that were found in a science classroom. The comment section is full of people pointing out the issues with the images as a reason AI is a bad thing, opening up a lively and interesting conversation.

The Reddit user posted a photo and left it up to fellow users to figure out the problem.

The person posted in the Mildly Interesting subreddit, sharing a picture taken from a classroom. “My younger brother’s science class has an AI generated image on the wall,” the person titled the post.

The images are of the human respiratory system, but there are more than a few issues. Several words are misspelled, including “brophom,” “diaphagm,” and “nache.” Things are also mislabeled, including labeling the heart as a lung. It may be labeled as mildly interesting, but it’s more like a totally concerning example of the problem with AI images.

People wasted no time calling out the AI images.

“That may be mildly interesting, but it’s definitely embarrassing for the teacher,” one person wrote. “Those posters are hardly educational.”

“This is actually mildly infuriating,” another comment reads.

“I used to think that AI stuff isn’t that much of a problem,” someone else added. “But stuff like this makes me want to start preparing for when civilization destroys itself by lazyness, decadence and greed.”

‘That’s … not labeled correctly.’

“You guys don’t use one lung as a heart?” someone asked.

“You’re telling me my nose isn’t below my stomach and my trachea isn’t on the back of my head?” another teased.

“Luckily the new update with the bracha and the brophom was released after I passed my anatomy exam,” someone else joked.

“TIL the lungs are a series of rainbow colored cylinders,” another person commented.

“The Tracha’s connected to the… Bronhi. The Bronhi’s connected to the Diaphagm…” one comment reads.

Many believed the teacher should face consequences.

“If students get in trouble using AI to complete their homework, shouldn’t teachers be held accountable using AI to teach students false information?” someone questioned.

“OMG, this is rage-inducing,” another wrote. “The teacher that thought that hanging this on their classroom wall needs to be fired.”

“I’m not joking when I say that a TEACHER seriously posting s— like this in a classroom should be a fire-able offense,” someone else commented. “No three strike rule or anything. You do something like this even ONCE, you should not be a teacher anywhere anymore. That is how seriously we need to treat the spread of ignorance and misinformation. It cannot be overstated how much harm this could do if left unchecked.”

As moms, we have to agree. Whoever printed this out, laminated it, and took the time to hang it on a classroom should not be teaching anyone. This is not education. It is however, laziness at its worst.
