Another Kid’s Parent Bullied & Threatened My 7-Year-Old at Camp & I’m Ready To Go Off

As moms, it's positively heartbreaking when our children are bullied. We can't be with our kids every minute of the day, making it hard to know exactly what is going on in their lives. When they're away at school or summer camp with other kids, we put our trust in other adults to ensure they are loved and safe. But, let's face it, kids can be jerks to one another sometimes.

Even if kids aren't always kind, we can trust that at least other parents aren't going to bully our kids, right? A parent certainly won't send a nasty note to another child to tell them to buzz off, right? TikToker Victoria, who posts as @wickatoria89, didn't think so until her son got a note from another kid's parents. When she read it, she was appalled.

Her son is only 7.

@wickatoria89 Would you be mad if you’re seven-year-old received a letter like this from an adult?#bulling #parents #advice #parentingtips #parenting #madmomma #fyp ♬ original sound - Victoria

Victoria explains in her video that she needs some parenting advice. Her son Ethan is attending summer camp, like millions of other kids right now. Ethan has been struggling with another little boy, and Victoria said the counselors tried to put a stop to the trouble between the two of them.

Camp staff addressed the situation with the kids and their parents, but did not disclose who the other child was for safety reasons, which Victoria totally respects.

"That's fine. I don't care. My kid shouldn't be mean to anybody, no matter who they are," she admits.

Victoria told Ethan to knock it off.

She claims she and her son's father talked to him about how he needs to treat other people, and he agreed to work on his behavior. Victoria felt confident that was the end, but things got weird at camp the next morning.

A woman was evidently sitting with a child outside the camp, seemingly waiting for Ethan to arrive. She asked the little boy, who Victoria assumes is her grandson, if he was bothering him, and when he confirmed his identity, she told him to give Ethan a note. This wasn't a note from the kid, it was very clearly a threatening handwritten note from an adult.

Victoria was furious.

Not surprisingly, she was very upset by what went down outside the camp. She shared a copy of the note that reads: "Ethan, Please stay away from [child's name]! Do not talk to him! Do not touch him! Do not even look at him! You guys do not get along. I don't want to hear another incident that involves you! Keep your hands and your mouth to yourself!!! Thanks!"

She shared the note with the camp counselors, who were apparently as shocked as she was. Now, Victoria wonders if she was overreacting.

TikTokers certainly didn't think so.

Her video has been viewed 88,000 times, and users overwhelmingly agreed that the other parent's actions were unhinged.

Some thought the kid needed to be kicked out.

Like this person who wrote: "That note should be grounds to remove that family from camp. Period."

Plenty thought it was out of line. Another comment read: "No parent should be independently communicating with a child without a parent's consent. It's so very far over the line."

"Cross out your kids name insert the other kids and put an uno reverse with the letter in an envelope and give it to grandma at next drop off ," one person suggested.

There were a few questions.

Some wondered if Victoria only had part of the story. Like this person who commented: " ' DO NOT TOUCH HIM' 'KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF' I think someone's not telling you the extent of what's going on. Your like they're just friends playing. Somethings definitely wrong is going on."

And this one: "Although the note is out of line I feel like we aren't getting the full story of what's actually taken place between them?"

Victoria clapped back, assuring TikTokers she was telling the truth.

"The counselors simply told me they were playing and then at one point they started arguing and calling one another names. This has happened a few times when they played together," she explained.

There were plenty of people asking for a Part 2. And Victoria, we're with them. Please let us know how this all shakes out!
