Unsolicited body comments are rarely appreciated, especially when strangers make those comments. It’s even more frustrating and uncomfortable when the comments are made about your children. Many moms of daughters know these uncomfortable feelings all too well. Too many have stories about body comments made by men about their daughters. And they’re all awful.
One mom on TikTok shared a story shortly after a man she didn’t know made comments about her young daughters’ bodies while they were picking up food at a restaurant. She quickly stood up for her girls against the man, and people are here for it.
The mom shared the story almost immediately after it happened.
Mom Jules (@julesfassinger), shared her video on TikTok. Jules was at a restaurant picking up a pizza with her 8- and 10-year-old daughters. Their pizza wasn’t ready yet, so the mom sat at a table off to the side while her girls played.
At another table, a man who was “somewhat fit-ish,” as Jules described him, was sitting with a six-pack of beer. The mom was texting a friend and didn’t pay him much attention at the time.

The man took an opportunity to speak to her.
“Nice children,” the man allegedly said. The mom thanked him, because that’s what you do if someone compliments your children. “Their father must be slim,” he said. That comment caught Jules — and everyone watching — off guard due to its shocking nature.
“What?” she replied. Instead of maybe backtracking or simply saying nothing, the man repeated himself. “Their father must be slim, they have nice bodies,” he said.
It was an absolute head-scratching moment.
Jules didn’t miss an opportunity to tell the man what she thought. “What a weird comment,” she said. The man claimed he was merely making “an observation.” The mama bear didn’t back down. “Don’t comment on my kids’ bodies,” she warned.
And again, instead of apologizing, the man then got defensive! “I hope you don’t live around here,” he quipped. Jules replied saying the same back. The mom expressed pride in herself for holding her ground with the man despite feeling “floored” by the interaction.
“You don’t comment on anybody’s bodies, much less my daughters. You f—ing creep,” she said.
People had nothing but praise for the fierce mom.
“I love the ‘what a weird comment’ great job mama!!” one person commented.
Another commenter believes that we need to “Normalize calling people pervs again.”
“My next response would be ‘are you on a list somewhere’,” someone else added.
Another person pointed out: “He was passive aggressively insulting you at the same time which is not ok. Good for you for calling him out.”
