Dads are often stereotyped as being difficult to buy gifts for, but one dad believes that celebrating Father’s Day isn’t actually that complicated. According to him, there’s no need to buy any last-minute gifts. Instead, he recommends a much simpler approach for making Father’s Day extra special for the dads in your life.
Comedian T. Murph explained why choosing the perfect Father’s Day gift isn’t important. Maybe some dads really are difficult to buy for — but according to comedian T. Murph, that doesn’t matter. In a video shared on TikTok, he asserted that most men aren’t really hoping to receive material things on Father’s Day. In particular, they absolutely do not need more “socks and drawers,” he asserted.
Men are actually not hard to please.
“People keep talking about how men are hard to please and how y’all don’t know what we want for Father’s Day,” the comedian said in his video. “Let me help you out. We’re not hard to please.”
What men really want, according to him, is pretty simple. “Just leave us alone,” he said. “Sometimes men just want to chill.”
So what does this actually look like?
T. Murph went on to say that he doesn’t want his partner to ask him to do anything on Father’s Day. He just wants to do what he enjoys. At the same time, he doesn’t want his partner to ask him what he wants to do either — he just wants to do his own thing and be left alone.
“We don’t want nobody asking us for nothing on Father’s Day,” he asserted. “Don’t try to get us to do the things that you want to do on Mother’s Day on Father’s Day. That’s not how it works.”
According to the comedian, a lot of dads just want to watch sports or play video games. “Most men just want to be left alone on Father’s Day,” he said. “It’s so simple.”
‘Don’t pressure him,’ he warned.

Many partners might feel the urge to ask, “What do you want to do for Father’s Day?” However, T. Murph thinks they should refrain from asking their male partners this question. “Because he don’t know,” he said.
Lots of people could relate to the dad’s video — including moms who said they want the exact same thing for Mother’s Day.
“Okay…So y’all want the same thing mommas want on Mother’s Day,” one person commented. “Got it.”
Another person agreed, writing, “Exactly what moms want!!!!!!”
