A Millennial Mom Taught Her Kids Battle Rap To Solve Conflict & It’s Perfection

Children make a lot of noise. Between toys, tears, screams, and squeals of excitement, they are a loud bunch. Adding additional children to the equation presents even more noise as you consider arguments between siblings. For moms who live their lives in a frequent state of overstimulation, hearing their children argue can potentially send them over the edge.

So parents have to get creative when trying to encourage their kids to quietly and calmly settle conflict and come to a resolution. One mom found a musical solution that has the internet singing her praises.

The mom said she taught her kids to battle rap so they wouldn't get in trouble.

Milli Love, a video creator, recently shared a proud mom moment on her Instagram page. In a video of herself folding laundry, Milli wrote, “You taught your kids they can battle rap instead of fighting so they don’t get in trouble & they listened …”

A kid rap battle? Yes, please. Thankfully, Milli was able to listen and record the showdown without letting her children know that she was tuned in.

Milli highly recommends this parenting hack.

The kids stayed on beat, switched up the flow, and took jabs at one another in an impressive fashion. In the comments Milli wrote, “Y’all they literally put on an instrumental and started ripping each other to shreds in the most appropriate emotionally, intelligent way possible 10/10 recommend‼️ chefs kiss"

The kids were so good that at one point, Milli admits to having Joe-Jackson-like thoughts.

'I already got you shook as a leaf,' one child told another.

Milli’s followers were full of praise for these creative kids and wanted to know what these little lyricists were saying to one another. In response, Milli posted another video — the extended version — complete with subtitles. The battle begins with one child taking shots at the other kid’s musicality.

“You can’t even make one single beat,” one says to the other. “You are talking like a little baby,” the child continues. “You don’t even know how to rap.”

Then the second child comes in with an insane flow and says, “Man if I was a little baby would I be able to cap you in Call of Duty?”

Frazzled, the first child shouts, “I don’t even play Call of Duty.” Picking up on her slip in confidence, the second child raps, “Man, I already got you shook as a leaf.”

Eventually, the battle turned to politics.

The track is punctuated by the sounds of a baby screaming in the background, likely trying to get in on the action. The first child goes for a more staccato delivery and says, “Not everyone in the world likes Call of Duty.”

Things take a turn to the political when the second child accuses the first of voting for Donald Trump.

Burn.

The battle ends with the second rapper, the eldest, saying all of babies go through him. There’s laughter at the end, so perhaps the conflict was actually resolved. Kids being creative, mom being entertained, and no injuries sustained in the process? Sounds like a win-win.
