If someone hurt my son, I would absolutely go into full momma bear mode. It’s my job as his mom to keep him as safe as possible and to fight for him when no one else will. So I understand the plight of Jas, a mom on TikTok who is detailing her mission to press charges against a young girl who injured her son. Her series of stories shows how hard it can be to advocate for your kids within the school system and how hard parents have to fight for kids to be held accountable. Some people may claim she’s being extreme, but if you’ve ever dealt with your kid being bullied or attacked, you may feel differently.
Her son was visibly and badly injured.

The mom, who goes by @justjasthingsss on TikTok, is chronicling the entire saga on her account. In the first video, she explains that she got a call from her son’s school on April 17, 2026, saying that his hand was broken and he’d be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Because she lives close to the school, she told them not to call an ambulance because of the high costs, opting to take him to the hospital herself.
When she arrived at the school, she could see that her son’s finger was visibly swollen, and it was clearly injured.
She was shocked that the adults in charge were “down talking” the entire incident. They claimed it was an accident, saying it “was not that big of a deal” and accused her son of “overreacting.”
At the hospital, she found out that not only was her son’s finger broken, but there was also damage to his growth plate. Naturally, she wanted to ensure that the girl would face consequences. She asked that she be suspended. The school seemed to refuse, however, meaning she had to take matters into her own hands.
She decided to press charges.

A school employee tried to convince the mom that she couldn’t press charges against a 7-year-old, but police refuted that claim, confirming it is legally possible.
“I don’t care if it sticks or not,” the mom says in the first TikTok. “I just want her to experience the consequences of her actions because apparently, the school is not going to have it done.”
After she met with school officials, the mom posted another video, updating everyone who had become invested in the story. Unfortunately, the meeting left her feeling “frustrated.”
The school claimed to have conducted an investigation and alleged that the girl who broke her son’s finger claimed it was an accident. Her son, however, told her that the girl bent his finger back twice while playing a game.
The boy told her to stop, and his classmate did it again. The second time was when his finger broke. According to the mom, the girl also admitted to bending his finger more than once.
The mom claims in the second video that the school kept trying to make her feel bad for wanting to press charges, repeatedly reiterating that the girl is “just 7.”
“No!” the mom exclaims in the clip. “She’s a little girl who broke my son’s finger.
The saga certainly isn’t over.

Despite the school making it clear it wouldn’t help her take legal action against a first grader, the mom will stop at nothing to get justice for her son. So she shared another video of herself rolling up to the school on her own.
In the video, she attempts to make contact with the little girl herself during the afterschool program. She claimed that she had close relationships with the employees, who should at very least try to get her in direct contact with the girl’s mother.
She was told, however, that the mom picked up the girl from school early when they were supposed to have a disciplinary meeting with the school’s administrators. It’s unclear if the meeting happened.
That’s all we know for now. I know I’ll keep checking for updates.
