Being the parent of a toddler isn’t for the weak. They’re incredibly cute, but they really know how to push you to your limits. If you’re lucky, you will have your kid’s grandparents around to help you out when your toddler just won’t give you a break. Present and engaged grandparents are such a gift for those of us with young kids.
One mom on social media is sharing the hilarious moment she sent her toddler to hang out with her grandparents after the little one kept her mom and dad up all night. People can’t get enough of the interaction, realizing how funny and entirely relatable it is.

Mom was DONE.
Mom Sara shared a hilarious TikTok of her toddler daughter during a family camping trip. The video has gotten over 19 million views and more than 1 million likes.
“Sent the kid over to grandmas and grandpas at 7am with a note,” she wrote over the video as her daughter approached her grandparents‘ camper and handed her grandpa a note. The contents of the note will feel too relatable to parents.
“I’ve been awake since 3:30am, and didn’t go back to sleep. Mum and dad are pissed,” it read.
The note was a total whim.
Sara spoke with People about the viral video explaining, “I just wrote the first thing that came to mind as quickly as I could because she was already getting her shoes on.”
“I said, ‘Here, can you give this to Grandpa?’ She replied, ‘Grandpa?!’ and I said, ‘Yeah! Can you give this to Grandpa?’ She exclaimed, ‘YA!!’ really excited.”

Mom and dad were exhausted and out of ideas.
Sara explained that 2 ½-year-old Maryn woke up at 3:30 a.m. and simply wouldn’t go back to sleep. Her parents tried letting her sleep with them and then lying in her bed with her during their camping trip, but nothing seemed to work. They gave up, letting the toddler watch Paw Patrol in their bed until they saw the lights go on in grandma and grandpa’s camper.
When she saw the door open and Maryn’s grandpa come out and laugh at the sight of his granddaughter, she got the brilliant idea to film the interaction. Maryn’s grandpa clearly thought the note was hilarious, as did her grandma, who was inside drinking coffee.
People loved the video.
The video has nearly 5,000 comments from people who found Maryn’s antics absolutely charming.
“She’s gonna go over there and get fed and nap. 😂 And be a perfect angel,” one person wrote. “The way she hands it to him and crawls inside. 😂 ‘here, move,'” another comment reads.
Someone else wrote, “She’s about to get her belly full and take the best nap of her whole little life.”
Another person commented, “She’s gonna get a snack a blanket and fall asleep to cartoons in least then 15 minutes.”
“The way she just climbed up like ‘I have no clue what that says but I know you guys spoil me here so just let me by papa… yup perfect.. thanks!'” another comment reads.
Mom couldn't have anticipated that the video would get such a positive reaction.
“I went to bed that night, and it had about 1,000 views, and I thought, ‘Okay, well, that was cute,’ not really expecting it to go viral,” Sara told People.
“Then when I woke up, it was at 200,000. By the time I got to work, it was at 500,000, and by lunch, it had reached 1 million. The next day, it was around 12 million, and it just kept climbing. It was crazy. All our friends and family were messaging us.”
She shared that the experience has been really heartwarming for her, even if it was unexpected. “It takes a village to raise a child, and being a parent is really hard, but there is so much joy and humor in those everyday moments,” she said.
