An Australian mom went viral for confronting her daughter’s bully. In the video, she doesn’t hold back her anger at the young woman. She says some things that will shock people, which makes the video a little hard to watch.
But now, the mom is speaking out about the video that made her go viral. While she may regret the way she handled her daughter’s bully, she was pushed to her breaking point. As she explained more about how the bullying was affecting her daughter, it’s hard to ignore why the mom went viral in the first place.

The mom went viral for storming into her daughter’s classroom at St. Paul’s College in Adelaide, Australia. In the video, which was was obtained by 7News, the mother appears to be threatening the girl.
“You ever f—ing mess with my daughter again I’ll slit your f—ing throat,” the woman, who was not named, yelled. “I’ll be waiting for you. And that smart little —- over there, yeah, you know what, you’re just jealous because you’re a —- —-. You’re a —- —-.” The woman yelled before being dragged out of the classroom by her husband.
The mom spoke with KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O. Henderson on their radio show, the Daily Mail reported. During the radio interview, she made some confessions, giving more context to the tirade.
“Our daughter was bullied immensely, probably for over 12 months,” the mom explained. For her, one of the biggest red flags came from her daughter’s schoolbag. “She stopped eating, I would find moldy sandwiches in her bag,” she said.
That was bad, but what happened next made her realize that things were much worse than she even realized. “She had come home and she fell into my arms on the floor and said ‘Mum, I cannot do this anymore, what is the point of living?’” the mom shared.
While the mom went viral for taking matters into her own hands, she explained that she had previously gone through “the right channels,” and nothing changed. Henderson, a mother herself, told the mother it was “disgusting that they didn’t do anything for you.”

“She would go from a beautiful 13-year-old girl to nothing,” the heartbroken mom said. Sandilands stuck up for her. “You did what you’re supposed to do, you protected your child,” she said.
The mom also spoke with 7News about the incident, claiming it was “not who I am as a mother or as a person.” She went on to explain that she and her daughter had both reached their breaking points. The bully had told the daughter to “hang herself.”
“That is a breaking point for any parent, she is our world, all our children are our rocks and to see and hear the pain and anguish in her voice, I went into survival mode, and protective mode. I did let loose, unfortunately was a side, I don’t show very often. But that was a tipping point for that day,” she explained.
The mom has since apologized for what she did. But she and her husband were told by St. Paul’s College that they had “breached the parent code of conduct.” They are now barred from stepping on school grounds, and their daughter has been suspended.
“We are continuing to work closely with the South Australian Police, and as a result, we are unable to provide further details regarding the incident,” Principal Patrick Harmer said in a statement shared by the Daily Mail.
