Mom Shares Hilarious Tips for Visiting Disney With Kids Ahead of Spring Break

In this age of social media, there is an enormous amount of pressure on parents to keep up with the Joneses. When it comes to family vacations, this is especially true. And being able to take kids to Disneyland or Disney World seems to be the (often unattainable) golden standard.

Because of inflation, ever-increasing prices at the theme parks, and other factors, a trip to Disney isn't in the cards for tons of families, although many will still visit there for spring break. One TikTok mom who recently took her young children to Disneyland shared her "tips" on the social media app. And fellow parents feel heard.

A mom recently shared her 'tips' after taking her young children to Disneyland.

Earlier in March, a mom named Taylor Wolfe posted a TikTok video that resonated with fellow parents. She and her husband recently took their 3-year-old and 9-month-old to Disneyland. Although they're not Disney super fans, she dished on practical advice for surviving their first trip with little ones.

"There's a website that tells you the least busy days and times to go. And that website lies," she declared. "No matter when you go, the park is going to be packed. There's going to be lines of people. There's going to be grown a– adults wearing Mickey Mouse ears fighting with each other about a turkey leg. It's hilarious and also scary."

She also revealed what her 3-year-old loved most at Disney.

Out of all the fun rides and attractions at Disneyland, Taylor's 3-year-old loved the playground at Mickey's Toontown the best. "I'm going to go out on a limb here, though, and guess there might be a playground located in your very own neighborhood as well that costs a lot less to get into," she joked. "But it might not have a turkey leg."

Taylor dished on the souvenir item that made her kids 'go absolutely feral.'

Taylor raved about a light-up bubble wand shaped like a Mickey Mouse head that plays music. "It makes kids go absolutely feral," she declared. "It costs $35 at the park and probably $2 on Amazon. Do with that info what you'd like."

She also shared the 'best part of Disney.'

"The best part of Disney, in my opinion, is that no matter where you go in the park, your child's not going to be the worst one there," Taylor shared. "There's a tantrum going on everywhere, which I take as a parenting win, you know."

Still, Taylor acknowledged that "for the most part," the Disney trip was "good" — except when she and her husband were "huffing and glaring at each other, she joked.

She also stressed that parents with young children who can't afford Disney are not missing out. "Just buy this on Amazon for $3, go to the park, bring a turkey leg, and follow me for more parenting tips," she concluded.

TikTokers offered their own 'tips.'

In the comments, TikTok users shared their reactions to Taylor's tips, offering their tidbits of Disney wisdom too.

One person wrote, "My son's favorite ride was the 'gray train,' literally the parking lot tram."

Another TikTok user wrote, "Just got back and my 3 year old granddaughter's highlight was riding the bus."

Someone else declared, "My daughter was almost 3 and were sitting eating ice cream after riding rides and meeting characters and she said 'Can we got to chuckie cheese?'"

Yet another TikTok user agreed with Taylor, commenting, "Bubble wand at the city park is underrated."

"THIS is what I needed to hear!" someone else chimed in. "The mom guilt for not taking my kids to Disney makes me feel like I'm failing… but just can't afford it right now."
