‘This Is the Dumbest Toy Ever’: Mom Warns Against Viral Gift as Holiday Shopping Begins

Before I had a kid, buying toys for other people’s children required very little consideration. I didn’t think about how much space they took up. How much noise they made or whether they might be over stimulating.

Now, as a parent, shopping for kids is an entirely different experience. I think about all of those things because I know what it’s like to get toys that make life as a parent a little … inconvenient. And I'm not the only one. Thankfully, other moms are sending out the word on the toys that you should avoid.

One mom recently gave her thoughts on a toy parents should absolutely avoid.

She was talking about the Fluffie Stuffiez toy. The toy, made by LOL Surprise, allows children to pull the outer layer of fluff to reveal an entirely new stuffed character.

While children love a two-in-one type of toy and a surprise, some moms online are warning you to avoid this one at all costs.

'This is the dumbest toy ever,' the mom declared.

Perhaps you already see the issue here. Children have to pull out the fluff, which is made up of tiny pieces of fur. And it doesn’t evaporate. Instead, it gets scattered around your home. One TikTok mom, @jmadigan96, shared her review of the Fluffie Stuffiez, and it’s concerning.

As she pans across her living room, this mom of four, says, “I have made poor choices as a parent before but I’m sure this one takes the cake.” She shows her living room, covered in fluff. “This is the dumbest toy ever,” she continues. “If your child asks for a Fluffie Stuffiez, don’t do it. Don’t. Don’t.”

Some people decided this would be a great gag gift.

Not only were the fluffy particles all over this mom’s floor, when she turns the camera on herself, it got her too. “I’m starting to look like a freakin poodle,” she says. “Don’t do it,” she warns again.

The parents in her comment section were thankful for her advice.

“Not to self: no fluffy stuffy,” one mom wrote. “And they have been asking!!”

More than a few people decided the toy would be a good gag gift.

“Buying these so they can play at their dad’s house,” another user wrote.

One user said they have been officially 'uninfluenced.'

Folks are plotting revenge. “My sister wrote on my Cabbage Patch Kid with pen in 1989 so guess whose kids are getting these for Christmas?” another wrote.

But for most people, this mom’s words worked. Another TikToker declared themselves “officially uninfluenced.”

Others found this video too late and had to learn the hard way.

One person wrote: “My aunt bought this for my daughter and halfway through I chucked it all in the garbage. A MESS.”
