TRIGGER WARNING: This post contains information about stillbirth and infant loss, which may be triggering to some.
When your child dies, you will hold on to anything you have to remember them by. Sometimes it may be a toy or a blanket. But for many parents, most of their memories come from photos. One parent on the internet shared a request for one of the only photos they had of their daughter, who died when she was only days old.
To help the parents remember their baby, one kind stranger stepped up to fulfill the request. And they were able to give the parent the gift of having their cherished memory preserved forever.

The parent had a simple request.
The parent posted in the r/PhotoshopRequest subreddit, asking if there was anyone who could help with some picture editing.
“We lost our baby girl within her first few days. Fortunately or unfortunately these are the only pictures we have got, and Iâd appreciate it if you could do your best for us,” the parent wrote.
They made it clear that having an edited version of the picture was important.
The parent shared a picture of their daughter under netting, asking if someone could digitally remove the netting so her face was more visible. “Please do not ignore,” the person implored the group.
“Please do your best. I will leave the payment up to you, as I know this involves a lot of effort. Please donât hesitate to take this up; Quote your pay and I will pay for it.”

One brave stranger stepped up to help out.
A Reddit user with the name Deathmarkedadc, stepped up and shared an edit of the photo, making the baby girl’s face more visible. “This an approximation of her face, I hope its close enough,” they wrote.
The parent was overwhelmed and wrote, “Thank you so much. This is a great work. Words cannot fully express how grateful I am for this. I mean.. this will truly make a difference in our life. Thank you so much!”
People had great responses to the photo.
“Makes me emotional. Thanks you for this beautiful Work,” one commenter wrote.
“Mind blown,” another person wrote. “Youâre a freaking miracle worker. This one really touched my heart. I love this channel so much, and my deepest condolences and love to the parents of this little angel.”
“You are one of the actual internet superheroes,” someone else wrote.
“As a parent of loss of a baby who had similar features, there are no words adequate for what you have done here,” another comment reads. “It fills me with regret that I never took a photo, at the same time I now get to experience bit of that bittersweetness the parents of this beautiful child might be feeling as they look at this image.”
This picture changed the parents' lives.
“Thank you so much to all the wonderful people out there. Your love and kindness mean more than my words can express,” the parent wrote in a comment. “I often felt she didnât have enough time to get all the love she truly deserved and feared she might fade from peopleâs memory, never touching lives the way she could have. But you have all changed that. I see her now getting so much love, touching hearts across the world. All your kindness fills me with both joy and tears. I am deeply grateful. Sending love to each and every one of you.”
They shared a special message to the photo editor saying, “You have given us something to cherish for the rest of our lives. We can hold on to her, see her, and remember her in ways we never thought possible. You have literally given us a gift we never imagined we would have. My family and I will always be deeply grateful for this. You have made such a difference and impact in our lives. I can never thank you enough. Sending more love to you!”
