Letting toddlers dress themselves can be an exhausting experience. Giving your child autonomy is important, but sometimes that comes at the cost of your sanity. Allowing yours kid to pick out their own clothes, however, can lead to something great. One mom learned that after letting her toddler pick her own shoes. Pretty soon, they went viral.
The video the mom shared has thousands of comments praising her choice. This is a great lesson in how sometimes letting them do their own thing pays off.
The video has a million likes.
Mom Janelle (@janellececilia), shared a short clip of her daughter’s shoe choice. In the video, she is driving down the street. “My daughter refusing to leave the house if it’s not in her shoe of choice …” the text on the video reads. “She’s just a girl 😇🎀,” the post’s caption notes.

The shoes are absolutely fabulous.
In the next shot, we get to see the little girl’s shoe. It’s an iridescent, Cinderella-style heeled shoe with a bow. The little one has her foot up on what looks like the back of the driver’s seat, tapping her foot to show off her shoe. It’s clear that’s she’s feeling herself. Next, we see her in a store running down the aisle.
People are living for her fashion choice.
