(#ad) In my constant search for products that help keep my kids' clothes looking like new, I ran across OxiClean⢠at the store and decided to give some of the products a try. I had my first super positive experience with OxiClean⢠way back, in the early 2000s when it was just an infomercial brand and a one tub-at-a-time miracle (and it really did rescue my brand-new khakis stained with red wine). Well, that product has evolved and become a normal part of my household, with many OxiClean⢠branded products having a spot in my laundry shelf.
Years later, OxiClean⢠continues to help with our everyday laundry, not just with stubborn stains. And once I started using my son Sebastian's pajamas, tees, and shorts for his younger sister Sofia, and then swapping clothes with some of my mom friends, the benefits of OxiClean⢠for renewing and refreshing are more important than ever.
One of my friends, Jean, has a 14-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. For a year or so now, we've been swapping kids' clothes â I have taken some of her son's school clothes that no longer fit him for 10-year-old Sebastian, I give her some of 7-year-old Sofia's clothes for her little one. It works out perfectly.
One of the pairs of shorts we recently got from Jean had some mystery stains on them. Nothing major, but definitely unsightly. Plus, the clothes had a bit of a musty smell. I dissolved OxiClean⢠Odor Blasters⢠Versatile Odor & Stain Remover in water, per the label instructions, and soaked the shorts and shirt for a while â it hit the weird smell and the stain, boom!
After about an hour, I washed everything with my regular wash and the clothes looked great. #GoodAsNew, for sure!
I have even used the product on some clothes my other friend Nandy has given me for my daughter (she has a daughter in my son's grade, so her hand-me-downs fit Sofia perfectly).
There's another benefit to this: My baby, Saide, will get the clothes Sofia and Nandy's daughter gift to us. Basically, Saide is set with clothes for the next five years!
I'm so, so thankful to my mom tribe for so much of their support, advice, good old-fashioned gabbing, but also for their willingness to share their kids' pre-loved clothes with me. That's a true sign of friendship!
