Parenthood is messy in every sense of the word. It’s messy emotionally and there are many actual messes we'll need to clean up as parents. To keep it real, some parents are more prepared than others for that mess, and some are taken aback by the realities of it. It happens to the best of us.
More often than not, we don’t catch it on camera. But for one TikTok family, one of their messiest moments will live on for all the world to see. Dad found himself in a situation with his toddler that he definitely wasn't anticipating, and his reaction was so hilarious, it's gone viral on social media.

Home security cameras caught the moment and Katie Beagell (@katiebeagell) posted her husband Kyle’s reaction. The video begins with Kyle exclaiming, "Oh my God, oh my God!" over and over again as he carries his child outside. Overwhelmed, he calls out to his wife: “Katie, Katie, help!”
While dad is gagging, his wife remains calm.
While Kyle is obviously freaking out, Katie stays in control, simply asking him, “What?” Kyle exclaims that their toddler, “s— a log” on a white blanket. Kyle repeatedly makes retching noises, but his wife simply asks where it is before going inside to investigate — and likely clean up. Because clearly, Kyle is out of commission.
Dad felt taunted, saying his son laughed at him.
As she’s walking inside, Kyle describes the color of his son’s bowel movement: "green." He also shares that it is still running down his leg … blech. He manages to get the words out as he continually gags, while holding on to their naked toddler. Kyle tells Katie, unnecessarily, that he doesn’t know what to do. Meanwhile, he says their son is laughing at him.
Some of the women in the comments were triggered.
The comments on the video, which has been viewed 2.7 million times, are equally comical.
“How did men get in charge like I truly don’t understand it,” one user wondered.
Another user, a woman, remarked about the difference in responses, “Dad: world is ending. Mom: ugh let me fix everything. (Unphased). Lol.”
Most people took the video with the light intention with which it was shared, but others were obviously triggered.
“Not sure why but this just upset me for the mom…like, dad, just start cleaning it..put him in the tub,” another comment reads.
