Does it ever end? Or do you feel like you are always working in one way or another? Whether handling tasks for your career or scrubbing floors and toilets, it feels like moms never get a break. We are forever doing something, and it is downright exhausting.
It can often feel like we are just fixtures in our homes and can easily be taken advantage of. If no one wants to do it, mom will. Where is our reward? One son realized that his mom needed a break, and her reaction to his offer of a day date is fantastic.
The mom was just doing her mom thing, like always.
In the video, TikToker @masf122 sneaks up on his mom standing at the sink doing dishes. He asks what she plans on for the day, and the exasperated mother says, "Well, it's Saturday morning. I'm cleaning the house, Mason. Doing my laundry. Doing everything I do."
It's almost as if she wants to say, "Same as always, dummy. Why don't you step in and help me?" But she refrains.
Mason had a surprise in store for his mom.
Mom continues messing around in the kitchen, moving from place to place, and Mason tells her that today, she gets a break. She won't be working today.
Mom snaps back, "OK. Why in the hell am I not doing it today? I do it every Saturday morning."
She is over Mason's antics, and her face tells us that.
He says, "I'm taking you out, and it's going to be a mom day. I'm treating you to lunch."
She can't believe it, and the smile on her face is the cutest.
Mom's excitement is contagious.
She asked Mason if he's buying, and he confirmed that it's his treat.
Mom then jumps up with excitement. "Oh, hell yeah! Let me do my hair. Get me some clothes and shoes. Hell yeah! You serious or is this a prank?" she exclaims.
He assures her that it wasn't a joke but that he's hungry and she needs to get a move on.
She then tells him not to rush her and ruin the moment. She hilariously — and oh so relatably — says that she's old and it will take her a minute to get ready.
You can feel her excitement and how happy she is to spend the day with her son.

People love Mason and his mom, and the moms out there totally get it. We spend so many years raising our children and taking care of their every need, and then, one day, they are gone. Their lives get busy, and they seem to leave mom in the dust. This lunch is clearly something Mason's mom had wanted for a long time and planned to take advantage of every minute.

Of course, followers wanted to know how lunch went. Thankfully, Mason took some video at the table, and his mom didn't disappoint. He teases her about ordering "rabbit food" and then says it's OK because it'll be cheap.
Mom looks him dead in the eye and says, "Are you worried about cheap? I'll get me some damn dessert now."
Then he asks her to take him to the grocery store.
"I'm not going to no grocery store. You told me this was a momma day. Don't no damn momma want to go to no damn grocery store. That's like a damn job, Mason," she says.

Mason, keep treating your momma kindly and remember everything she has done for you your entire life. She clearly loves you more than anything and wants to spend precious moments with her baby. You may not realize it now, but it all goes way too fast for us moms.
