She was 'lured' by a shopping trip, authorities claim.

Delgado was a rideshare driver and told her husband that she would be home after dropping off one more passenger on the night of April 16, 2021, per People. Authorities said the mother of two was lured to the mall under the pretense of shopping, but was kidnapped instead.

A surveillance video from the Plaza Fiesta mall in Chamblee, Georgia, shows Delgado at a Ross store with another woman, reported 11 Alive. This was the last time she was seen alive.

Her husband grew worried when she didn’t come home that night, so he tracked her phone.

When Delgado didn’t return home after work that night on April 16, 2021, her concerned husband tracked her phone. He tracked it to a location where he found a bloody face mask that prompted him to call police.

Her close friend Diana Alvarez said, "He followed the signal to a house in Decatur which apparently the signal was there for one hour and they take off and end up in a public storage in Covington Highway," per 11 Alive.

Delgado was sadly found dead in a rural shed four days later, 120 miles from the last location where she was seen, according to People. There was evidence she was tortured prior to her death according to a press release from the Appalachian Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.

Nine people have pleaded guilty in connection to the case.

Delgado’s kidnappers reportedly fled to Mexico after her murder, but several of them were later apprehended and extradited back to the US, reported People. A grand jury indicted 14 people in Delgado’s case, with nine suspects pleading guilty ahead of the trial. So far, both Oscar Manuel Garcia and Juan Ayala-Rodriguez, have been sentenced to life in prison.
